I agree. Fuck WoW and fuck Jewzzard.
The faction war lore is fine, they just need to allow cross faction grouping for gameplay reasons on non-rp servers. The network effect is a thing; at this point everyone is playing horde. The few alliance players left need people to play with.
Fuck off, your bots already posted another thread
Weren't they already writing that out with the "uniting against greater threats" narrative?
Yeah because Orc's are black people lmao
15+ fucking years baiting a faction VS faction war that never happened, because they wanted to make it a theme-park but couldn't just tell PvPers straight.
orcs are good bois they dindu nuffin
>ahn'qiraj/Naxxramas
>Illidan/Kill Jaeden
>The Lich King
>Death Wing
>Garrosh
>Iron Horde/Burning Legion
>Burning Legion
>Old Gods
Every single expansion they unite against the "greater evil" and then go back to beating the shit of each other the next expansion, the lore is fucking retarded, any leader would had noticed by now how fucked Azeroth is and how much of a waste of time is fighting each other when there are way more threatening enemies out there.
how did 'leftist' embrace nazism so readily
If I was a Human in Azeroth, I would basically never forgive Orcs. Ever. Never. I'm not morally obligated to reconcile with them and neither is any other race on Azeroth.
They don't have a right to exist in Azeroth and their own shitty world, which they fucked up themselves, has been accessible for... Hasn't it been over a decade in-game time? They can go back. They can go back to their shit hole planet and be gone forever.
The race analogy doesn't work in Warcraft because Orcs aren't the subjugated minority: they were an invading alien colonial force that still engages in genocide.
A majority of those issues have one crucial thing in common. They all stemmed from and can trace their origins to one people group who invaded Azeroth.
Factions are bullshit from a gameplay standpoint. Everyone I meet IRL is always the wrong faction for the only toon I play
Can someone explain to a lorelet why the Horde and Alliance continue to fight after teaming up several times? Is it for land? Geopolitical influence? or are the leaders autistic spergs?
sounds pretty realistic outside of the "more threatening enemies out there"(?) part
NO MORE BROTHER WARS
Land and all the leaders are absolute retards. Garrosh did nothing wrong and was the inevitable end of the war, but we cant have the big meanie win.
Would you trust Orcs, Undead and Trolls who are known to be cannibals?
15 years and Alliance and Horde still can't talk to each other. There should be some dungeons and raids where Horde and Alliance can group up together.
>"more threatening enemies out there"
Now most of it is old lore, the biggest menaces in the Warcraft lore were the burning legion and the old gods, the old gods having no realistic way to kill them since to kill them was to kill the planet, and the burning legion being an almost endless army lead by Sargeras, a being so powerful the biggest achievement mortals did to him was to merely injure one of his legs.
Now blizzard eliminated both of them retconing them, old gods now can be killed instead of just restraining them and Sargeras was defeated and imprisoned in a single cutscene.
This is where I dropped the game so the last thing I heard was that Azeroth was a growing titan and the shadowlords were the biggest threat now.
because brlumpf?
It's a mix between Blizzard writing "anime misunderstandings" that could be talked down from if the world leaders would speak to one another for longer than 10 minutes. And a little bit of the Orcs and Humans hating one another just that much. The Human hatred of Orcs though is entirely justified.
Meanwhile, the other races are more often than not; simply roped into these global conflicts by their factions because they're constantly being convinced "we can't guarantee your safety if you don't help us."
The odd exception is Sylvanas who, for some unexplained reason(?), has been accelerating the conflict by needlessly burning down the Night Elves big tree Island Nation of Teldrassil. Like, the entire island. The whole thing. We're talking a land mass the size of Sri Lanka.
Which I'm mostly upset about because to do such a thing would be nearly technologically impossible or at the very least: so unfathomably expensive by their means as to be impractical or next to impossible.
what? that shit is all split between the old gods who have always been around and the burning legion who forced the orcs to invade
You posted this already
>more threatening enemies out there.
The factions have consistently been the most powerful and threatening enemies between themselves since WarCraft became an IP. There has never once been a foe so great that one of them couldn't overcome it.
If they were smart they would end outright faction shit and focus on bigger threats while having Cold War style proxy wars and espionage in the background.
Problem is, if it wasn't for the orcs, the night elves would have gotten everyone killed during WC3
Not only is it not unexplained but her reason for doing all that is a major plot point in Shadowlands.
the end of all conflict
>Orcs constantly chimp out and ruin everything
>Forsaken are literally the worst scum on the planet and were planning to even fuck over their Horde allies
>Blood Elf Kael'thas tries to end the world
>Trolls and Tauren are pretty chill, but have zero progress and live in mud huts while practicing backwards shamanistic religion
Yeah they do need to rethink the race war, they need to genocide the fucking Horde
>Meanwhile, the other races are more often than not; simply roped into these global conflicts by their factions because they're constantly being convinced "we can't guarantee your safety if you don't help us."
This is only true for the Tauren, who are bumblefuck do-good traitorous morons that flee at the first sign of conflict. Everyone else has a leader here and there that wants peace, but the factions are large are ready for war. You never see Liadrin whining that she has to fight Alliance, for instance.
>The odd exception is Sylvanas who, for some unexplained reason(?), has been accelerating the conflict by needlessly burning down the Night Elves big tree Island Nation of Teldrassil.
The original reason was that she realized that occupying the tree was no longer feasible now that Furion was alive, it would be better to burn it and scatter the Night Elves and weaken the Alliance. The new retconned reason is that she was serving some asshat in another dimension all along and this whole war was to send souls to him or some dumbshit nonsense.
>Which I'm mostly upset about because to do such a thing would be nearly technologically impossible
It's funny, because they introduce Azerite as the literal super-weapon that could be capable of exactly that, but then the writers were so shit that they forgot about it entirely and Sylvanas just used inter-continental catapults with burning tar. They didn't even bother having her plague it, it just burns so we can get that retarded image to drum up hype for how "War" this garbage expansion was supposed to be.
That level of retardation is the very foundation of civilization.
I mean Warcraft and Blizzard as a whole are cancer, but 70 years ago Japan raped the fuck out of China and the world frowned, a few years later they're "the bad guys" again and bombing pearl harbour and in turn getting nuked, and now they're one of the west's biggest allies in the region now that China is magically the bad guy...despite having been shit all along.
Warcraft's lore isn't far fetched at all.
