Yeah Kamoshida was based

Maruki proved that the game wasn't about hating adults
It was about hating people who never grew up, manchildren, "shitty adults" if you would
Also FUCK the demiurge

>DUHHHHH STUPID SHITTY ADULTS
every time this line was uttered i fucking cringed
please tell me this is just the awful localization

>That girl who tried to kill herself.. what was her name again? Anyway, its your fault she jumped, you know.

>tfw you're an adult (Phantom Thieves HATE adults)

Looks like Rusty Venture.

why does nobody wear fucking socks with their shoes

>manchildren
How the fuck are any of the bad guys "manchildren"? If anything the 'good' adults are the immature ones and the game shits on people who have matured and obey society and the law.

That's because it's not about hating adults.

He owns his own business, he can dress however he likes.

Don't you weebs have a 20 other boards including an rpg board?

feels good, man

>game is about hating adults
>shows that the only way to stand up to evil adults is with magic powers

shit message

Once they make more boards you will be free to post your soijaks and frogs on Zig Forums don't worry

>You cant just hog all the girls to yourself! -t. Yosuke
>I can, cause I'm the King.

The story in this game is complete garbage and full of holes
I dont know why this shit is so overrated, must just be the presentation

>how is a high school gym teacher despreatly clinging on to his glory days who thinks that world owes him because of the work he put into his sport a manchild?
>how is an old man who's obsessed with fame and money and ruins anyone who ever goes against him and claims the efforts of everyone he ever helps as his own a manchild?
>how is a fatass yakuza boss who despreatly tries to appear threatening while obsessing over a fucking piggy bank a manchild?
I'll give you okumura
>how is a lawyer who thinks of the world as an actual game that only she must win and throws a tantrum if she ever loses at anything a manchild?
I'll give you shido

>game has shit story
>the best parts are not about the shitty story

Fuck off back to tumblr please

What's the message even? The Phantom Thieves solve all of their problem with magic. How is that supposed to be some kind of social commentary or whatever the fuck the game was trying to do?

"if you're being abused get magic brainwashing phone app"

Retarded

The message was that you should have the courage to do what you want in life even in the face of the people who will try to step on yo for their own gain. It's not that you should go into another world where you can change people's hearts to do that because the game isn't a how-to guide. It's the motivations for what they do that the message of the game comes from, the method is just a power-fantasy that works better for the purposes of gameplay where you get to take down people who would otherwise be untouchable. It's not suggested that that's the only way to make a difference in life though, it's just the way the PTs make a difference primarily for the sake of it being a fun game to play, instead of it just being about Joker picketing for small changes or making snarky comments to people who look down on him.

>shows that the only way to stand up to evil adults is with magic powers
did you stop playing after kamoshida's dungeon or somerhing

The store guy and politician guy were also cool.

Name one (1) situation in the game that is not solved with magic.

D.C. Douglas is a legend, absolutely crushed it as Kamoshida.

>Sae has a change of heart without her treasure being stolen
You should have mentioned that, it would help your case.

There are multiple things you could mention that are resolved in the game without the use of the Metaverse, I wasn't trying to gather them up though, I'm just saying that the PTs primarily making a chnage through the Metaverse doesn't change that the game's message isn't literally that you should travel to a world that reflects people's cognitions and steal their hearts.

>madarame
solved with magic. they would have all gone to jail and yusuke would have been abused still had they not had fuckin magic
>kaneshiro
makoto would have gotten whored out if they didn't have magic
>futaba
futaba probably ends up committing suicide without change of heart, this isn't even an evil adult either
>okumura
the catalyst for the entire plot resolves around magic powers here. again, okumura would have continued exploiting his employees had they not had magic powers (and he got shot)
>sae
this is understandable because she naturally changes her heart by becoming a better person, but the plot literally only advances here because the whole 'plan' relies on the metaverse
>shido
this shit is obvious. they need magic to fix this problem. fuck else are they gonna do? vote shido out? protest? lol
>YALDABOATH

fucking obvious. even with magic powers they should have lost this one but joker pulls satanael out of his twink asshole and wins

>t. buttblasted "adult"

The game is only about hating adults if you can't take a joke

this is not a game that the phantom thives can win without magic and if you actually think otherwise you are retarded

I was really disappointed when the first villain started out that good but then it did not get any better from there. Almost every boss was worse than Kamoshida. He was such a fucking cunt that's so easy to hate then the rest of them are just varying degrees of meh

Imagine being so stupid you miss the entire point of a fucking anime video game. They don't dance around the fact that the Thieves use "magic" to reform society. The game is about questioning the righteousness of their actions and proposing the ambiguity of the concept of justice. Only smoothbrained chimps look at the game and say "magic powers woooooow"

I hated the shido thing. I hate it still to this day. How Joker just doesn't remember him at all till it's almost time to go into his palace for the first time. Like dude how do you not clearly fucking remember the guys face who fucked your whole life over. He should have held a grudge and been thinking about stealing the guy who ruined his life's heart from the second he realized the extent of his powers.

Well that and they hammer the fact that the hearts you did change didn't prevent the Demiurge from fulfilling his plan after giving Goro his Persona ability and to slowly manipulate Shido through Goro to make humanity wish for absolute control over them. You taking down Shido through the Metaverse is what allows him to usurp control over the collective unconsciousness.

The game obviously isn't about how you should use magic, but I wouldn't say its about questioning the PTs morals either. They touch on it a bit, but it's mainly just to have a bit where they get attached to the fame, only to come back to recapturing why they became the PTs in the first place, and then going on to do what they think is right even when the public doesn't want what they want because of it. I don't think there's much thematic meaning to that aspect of the game though, and I would even say it's a bit sloppily handled as is anyway. It works fine for how it is with what I already mentioned, but I have no idea what the purpose of that scene where they're in Mementos and they question themselves when they see the Palace Rulers in prison is. They question themselves, shrug it aside and just move on without touching on it again. They should have just been resolute in being okay with what they're doing, or they shouldn't have had a scene like that at all.
