Protagonist defeats a boss with an asspull

So someone on Zig Forums tried explaining this form to me since it was never properly explained in the series. Apparently it's suppose to be the hollow inside Ichigo taking over his body. Ichigo was desperate to save Orihime from Ulquorria and since he was dead and lacked the power to win he basically relinquished control over to white ichigo, also something about being a proto vasto lorde.

This form appears again in the Bleach: Hell movie. But in that movie, Ichigo takes this form out of sheer anger when he believes that his sister is murdered right in front of him. So I guess if Ichigo gets anger enough then he'll enter this form.

At least that form had a big trade off for using it, so it's not like he could spam it or use it constantly. That's why it's called "final" and Ichigo even explains that. Of course it's retconned later when Ichigo is given his shinigami powers back. Also I doubt it was worth Ichigo using a second time anyway. He'ld lose his powers again and who knows if that form could even defeat Yhwach. We don't know how strong Final Getsuga Ichigo is compared to anyone else. He was above Aizen, but we don't know if he was on par with the Soul King or what.

do energy blasts ever work on bosses in anime? I've never seen them work on anything less than jobbers or literal who minions. it's like using kunai's or explosive tags in naruto why do they even bother?

Chad deserved better. He jobbed in Soul Society, only got to fight against jobbers in Mexico before being taken out in a single hit, and his last fight was entirely off screen against some random statues.
