Get rid of the boost formula and make a game that's actually fun to play. I have to agree that these threads are tired and overdone. But you know what manages to be worse? How to save Star Fox threads. In the end it's not like these companies will listen to fans. The only reason Sega did anything with Sonic Mania is because a good chunk of the work was done by a passionate team of fans. So Sega didn't need to do much to make a killing out of this game. Still in general companies have a Do NOT Listen to fans policy and in the case of Nintendo? Should fans be doing something good like the dude who made his own Metroid 2 remake? Nintendo straight up destroys the so passionate fan. If I was talented in game development I would never help these companies make their properties be more popular. To hell with them. Why waste what would be a fan's best ideas on pre-existent properties. Let these experts and official veterans rot in the industry and let them fail.

If it is sonic focused make speed a reward for knowing the map and the mechanics. If it has his animal bros design the stages so they can be used to access alternative routes etc.
