Why is there no Dredd game?
Why is there no Dredd game?
Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Death
Why is there no good Dredd game?
He's not popular enough or recognizable
You don't get to be picky, asshole.
That and stateside he's worse than unrecognizable, he's recognized for the less than great Stallone film.
YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE
We just wanted a Dredd game all along
Speaking of all along, it's always weird remembering that Dredd (and 2000 AD as a whole) predate Blade Runner by five years and the Cyberpunk p&p by eleven.
Man, I've got like two months worth of progs to catch up on.
hell yeah
>no playable dredd dlc
Eh, it's good enough for what it does. Provoking assault on a judge to maximize the amount of prison time in again be level in not perfectly in line with the character but works well in the setting.
>Provoking assault on a judge to maximize the amount of prison time in again be level in not perfectly in line with the character
There are Jays like that for sure, but Dredd isn't one of them.
Well yeah, but it is possible which I find commendable in a way. Also I need to check what I wrote because holy shit I don't know how I went from "in a given level" to this.
In 2020? Fuck no. Leave Dredd alone.
>Politics
>Waaah Dredd vidya glorifies right-wing police state mentality
>Waaahh it's a cop's wet dream about killing innocents waaaahh
>Twitter cultists chanting in eldritch unison to their digital overlords of cancel culture to cancel the people behind said Dredd game
No. In ten years if these twitterniggers fuck off and die then yes, maybe. At least 75% of the modern world isn't ready for a Dredd game because of political brainwash.
If only there were a Wendy's clan, then Zig Forums could have their own place too. Funny that reprints had to go without that part of the Cursed Earth saga for decades.
I got the gist of what you said.
>Twitter cultists chanting in eldritch unison to their digital overlords of cancel culture to cancel the people behind said Dredd game
Those people would more than likely be Rebellion, seeing as they were the devs of Dredd vs. Death, as well as the publishers for 2000 AD itself since the early 2000s.
hi badspot
Yeah I know but I don't like posting gibberish.
You talking to me?
>Rebellion cancels Dread vs Death: Redux because of low sales.
>it's always weird remembering that Dredd (and 2000 AD as a whole) predate Blade Runner by five years and the Cyberpunk p&p by eleven.
Not really. Before people started calling it "cyberpunk" it was just called dystopic sci-fi and it goes back at least as far as the 1930s.
Oh, I know there were earlier works, written and otherwise; hell, I've got a four foot stack of PK Dick's books on my shelf (and Electric Sheep is not only needlessly famous but prevents people from reading his earlier, less dystopian and more straight sci-fi stuff which is a shame, the Martian chronicles and all his short stories are great). None of it really hit the mainstream, though. Maybe I'm just bad with the temporal order of things.
Does anything Rebellion make even sell well other than Sniper Elite? The fact they were able to buy out 2000 AD back when shows just how much of a bad patch the comic was in. That aside, while I don't care for most of their games, respect to the Britbong brothers for keeping a comic afloat instead of watching it die a final death at the hands of endless publisher fuckery.
>tfw no twisted dystopian pleasure dome to hangout in
It's always bizarre to me how people today actually want to live in obviously horrendous dystopia.
Right in my Maneater Mildred fetish.
>Satire becomes reality
How do we go back
Jydge
It isn't just America that went weird. Always funny remembering the very first page of Dredd has a 'far future' cityscape of CCTV cameras everywhere tracking everyone's movement and now IIRC the UK has the highest amount of cit surveillance in the world.
