Is there a hierarchy for redundancy?
Does Fire Emblem go into /vrpg/ or /vst/?
What about mobile strategy games, or mobile RPGs, or mobile strategy rpgs?

Zig Forums has cancerously grown well beyond the intended scope of a board so it needs to splinter for healthy discussion to reemerge

Depends on what a game is mostly composed of, it it's more of a RPG than a strategy game it goes to /vrpg/ for example

Won't be long before they're just as swamped with shitposting as Zig Forums has been already, so enjoy your week of actual discussion before the jannies stop caring again

RPG was most likely made to get rid of the almost constant FFXIV threads since no one wants to go to /xivg/.
Mobile also makes sense when you consider how many thread slots it was taking up.
But Strategy? And still no /vts/(Twitter Screencaps)?

I think this is actually about /vg/ and not so much Zig Forums.
RPGs, phone games and strategy games were the 3 biggest staples of generals on /vg/.

Anyone have an idea of what the 4th most common general on /vg/ is? We may see that get a board soon. My guess is visual novels but technically I think /jp/ was for those originally.

Containment boards don't work unless you can actively corral discussion and Zig Forums is way too goddamn big to do that. They were barely able to keep /mlp/ in check and that was a single kid's cartoon with niche demographic appeal.

I think it is /vg/ based decision making. /vg/ had civ generals, grand strategy generals, warhammer generals, xcom generals and fire emblem generals.

I don't mods are going be terribly concerned about discussion exclusivity. Post wherever you like as long as it's somewhat relevant; there's already hundreds of threads in /vrpg/ that would also fit in /vr/.

I took me a day and to get a reply on a thread I made in /vst/. These boards are junk.

The sticky rules on both boards say you can discuss them wherever so any heirarchy of which to post would just be your call on which board you think will get more/better discussion for that game.

But no one will use those. Now they will stagnate and die anyway.
Not to mention you can still make those threads in slash vee slash.

I decide where your board should go depending on whether you are based or a fag.

You're just used to Zig Forums speeds. Compared to a board like, say, /e/, this place is insanely fast. And good luck posting on some other chans, you ever try posting on fucking Torchan? You might not get a response for MONTHS.

Jannies hate MHW threads on v so they made 6 additional boards to disscuss it and not polute Zig Forums

I browse boards other than Zig Forums, and while it is too fast some times I’d rather boards function like Zig Forums than something like Zig Forums where you can have a thread up for months and only get a reply a week. I think a better solution would be to increase the number of boards allowed at a time and decreased the bump limit on Zig Forums.
