The only real painful part was getting past the story to get to Heavensward. That shit was fucking suffering. But I guess they are patching it all out, since it's just too much story creep now. Something like 300-350 story missions to get to the end.

If I recall pre-1.5 had you go through like 115 story quests after the initial game.

I dropped it years ago during ARR and just picked it up again after hearing they shortened ARR, but holy shit it's still so boring.

I enjoyed ARR when I played through it a couple years ago, and they recently made it even shorter and more streamlined for ADHD retards like yourself, so you have no excuse.

I think it's a fine game with a lot of depth and side content, but fuck me, if I wasn't bored to death by the end of the base campaign. Haven't even been able to pick it up to continue the Expansion yet in about 6-7 months. I have too much to play now and my mind's just not up the grind right now.

The game really is a snowball. It gets better the more it goes on. Experiences in both the story and gameplay continuously build upon themselves into something greater patch after patch.

God 5.3 really set the bar low for content standards. Unreal is just Shiva EX scaled up meaning it was an easy clear, Elidibus EX it's boring and only shined during the story's NM. Outside of the story it is a lackluster patch, not even worth a use of a Dino.

I don't know, I'm not a MMO obsessed nerd but from the few I've played, it's the only one that feels like my class abilities are actually significant to the situation and I have to pay attention to what I'm doing otherwise the entire party can wipe. I mostly played as Black Mage and Guardian though so I don't really have a good idea on how the DPS classes worked.

What I mostly meant by depth though is that there's far more to do in the game outside of the campaign missions which is something most MMO's really lack outside of WoW.

The controller layout lets you do the equivalent of 4 hotbars just with alternate taps on the shoulder buttons instead of using shift/alt/ctrl or ever having to manually change bars, it's pretty decent
