Not Prey 2, not what we wanted, shit game that should never have been made
Do I just leave shit in my office? I've found all sorts of stuff like a taser, a ton of grenades, a pistol (etc) and I don't know what to take with me and what to leave behind.
It should have been completely open from the start, it had so many ways to progress through each area but it was linear as fucking shit and the enemy and weapon variety fucking sucked, by the end of the game I was so bored with fighting I just used the slow time power and a shotgun and just whomped past everything, and this was on Nightmare with all the challenge setting things on as well
Is this game has more complex gameplay than bioshock?
The original Prey was a generic shit FPS and all of its "unique" ideas are, with one or two exceptions, window dressing with no impact on gameplay. I do wish they'd called this game something else though because its association with the original tainted it
It’s okay from a gameplay perspective, I like being able to goo my way up to the ceiling to cheese through areas, feels almost like an exploit.
My biggest gripe is it’s absolutely shit tier presentation. The environments are all so sterile and bland, the enemies are all uninspired black blobs, the UI is ugly as hell, the music and SFX are obnoxious dubstep tier. They seem to have not realised that the key selling point for immersive sims was the fucking immersion.
Yes, because it has a grid-based inventory system like deus ex. Everything else (guns, powers, combos etc) is largely the same, but you can't just loot everything. You can also break all items down into base components to craft new items from blueprints, instead of only looting the components.
fuck off retard
Upgrade your inventory space and just take everything
Carry every single weapon type and all the ammo, and all the grenades too? Even with upgrades that seems a bit much.
Just bought it on GOG, this game better be good.
Look at this, I think this is my no neuromods run, you don't really need a lot of space.
Jump scares the game.
Oh okay, that's actually nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. Thanks user, I will do it your way.
Minor frustration-related spoiler: Don't waste upgrades on the pistol.
Ah, I hate when games do this shit. Thanks.
The definition of mediocrity. It's so utterly devoid of character or any unique defining characteristics. It's like an AI developed by Amazon mined game code and made something completely soulless based on what gamers "should" like.
>user's mum reviews him
I think Prey was a neat little Shock game that will never have a successor but which may be incorporated into something in the future if Arkane survives Deathloop. I don't think Arkane will survive Deathloop.
Honestly it doesn't really matter considering you can craft upgrade kits and there are a ton of them laying around anyway. I fully upgraded my pistol and then fully upgraded the second one easily.
What makes you think that?
Deathloop looks fine and Arkane's survived worse.
I think Arkane will survive Deathloop, by survive I mean Bethesda will move them into development support, Arkane peaked with Dark Messiah, when things should have only been getting started.
Playing this for the first time on no needles was the best gaming decision I have ever made in my life
The enemies remained threatening until the end and I had to scrounge everything and fully use the environment to get by
10/10 experience on no needles
I think the premise of Deathloop sounds annoying. And I don't think they even have a base audience for the game.
No one cared about Prey until that shitty vaporware got canceled.
good gayme
People eat roguelikes up so I don't see why a similar game wouldn't have an audience.
It wasn't vaporware. Game was well into the dev cycle.
This looks exactly like my very first run. I didn't trust even the human biomods. It was actually really fun trying to get through everything just exploiting the basic mechanics and physics, none of the intended skills or powers.
