No single snowflake thinks it is responsible for the avalanche.

They have more money for the development of the game than GTA 5. (290mil vs 310mil+) yet its been like 8 years and they can't even finish the SP portion of the game let alone the MP considering CryEngine wasn't even designed for what they're aiming for.

They'll milk it as much as possible and then either:
A. Robert abandons ship and the game gets announced as cancelled
B.Robert abandons ship and the studio releases some mess of a game that will be somehow even worse than No Man's sky at release and unfixable.

The funny part is that some people are spending insane amounts of money for ships and in-game land, so much money in fact that they could have bought a house in Las Vegas or San Diego with that kind of money lmao.

I dropped 45 bucks on it just for the cast of S42, which is amazing. I gave up expecting it to release a couple years ago. I'm not even mad anymore, just disappointed.

You should take it as a lesson and try to learn not to fall for marketing scams designed by people who's only goal is to part you with your money.
Stop getting excited over trailers and other marketing material. Stop paying in advance because of potential you see or what you think it could or might be.

I thought GTA5 was 500 mil. Also as far as I know they switched to Lumberyard. It's Amazon's engine based on Cryengine although I'm not sure how that works since I don't recall Cryengine being opensource.

How the fuck does Star Citizen still look less soulful than Far Cry 1 and Crysis 1 combined? And those two ran on 1st and 2nd gen variants of the Cryengine.

8 years is really not surprising considering that you would need to not only make this very ambitious AAA game you need to create a studio capable of making that game cyberpunk is on what year 7 and they didnt have to create a brand new studio from scratch for that id say they hav 12 years before the time is unreasonable compared to industry standards.
