Thoughts on the Witcher 3?
cool game
I like it but you gotta mod it to really make it enjoyable. More skill pages, being able to turn on all mutations and disabling scaling xp for quests make the gameplay less of a snooze fest.
fun game
good story
underated gem
neat game
Best game of the 2010s.
>games only you have played
love it, played it when i was depressed, obviously didnt fix it but figuratively held my hand though tough times

shit leddit tranny basedboy game

I am not joking. I DO believe that nobody actually likes the witcher 3 and that it IS an elaborate prank to trick us into playing it. For cmparison, I managed to sink in 50 hours on the game that I consider to be the worst to come out in the past 10 years (Final Fantasy XV). I recognize that FFXV is absolute trash and yet there was still ''Something'' that kept me playing. Maybe because I had very low expectations? Maybe because it has the smoothest and prettiest animations in any game I have ever played? Or it was because I thought there was some depth to the combat? I don't know. FFXV is THE most impressive game and at the SAME time THE worst gaming experience of my life.
Now here is the thing. I gave witcher 3 exactly 15 hours. But I just gave up after beating the first dungeon (with that hot witch where you watch her shower). I have never been more insulted by a video game dungeon than that. The mini boss golem and the hellhounds where just... I honestly thought that I was being pranked. Geralds animations are beyond trash. Seriously, 6th gen games have a hundred times better animations (walking, running, Jumping, attack etc.) the first time I saw gerald jump I thought that it glitched, but no, this is his actual jump animation. it's the work of an amateur hidden behind pretty (yet very uninspired, generic and bland) graphics and, like you said, great writing and music. Seriously, this game would be better ''played'' by watching it. Hell, it would work as a series I do admit that, but as a video game, it's just bad. I'm sorry but that's how I feel. I didn't mean to offend anyone.
is this copypasta? looks like it.
are there even people who unironically likes it
I have tried so hard to like this game due to everyone I know sucking it off and tens of different tries over the period of a few years and I still can't enjoy it. I get past that mission with the baron guy and the fetus ghost and just quit.
That would be Dark Souls or Bloodborne.
>That would be Dark Souls or Bloodborne.
Novigrad is so fucking awful, man. Every time I try to play this game through to the end I get to Novigrad and get 50 fucking sidequests dumped on me that open up another 50 sidequests upon completion when I just want to fucking continue with the game, and it's just going back and forth through the same areas of the city over and over and over again talking to characters from the previous 2 games that I didn't play and therefore don't give a fuck about, and the main story takes a backseat to all these inane subplots that completely fuck the pacing of the entire game in the asshole. I'm supposed to be busting my ass to find Ciri because if I don't the world's gonna end or some bullshit like that yet here I am stuck in the same city for fucking in game weeks doing random bullshit favours for random fucking people instead of finding Ciri. And that's with me making a conscious effort to ignore most of the side quests. What the fuck were they thinking with this section of the game?
I mean it feels exactly like the fucking Fade, except this time there's no mod to skip it. Just goes on and on and on and on forever, outstays its welcome to a comical degree
Yeah the Novigrad missions are kind of a slog to go through especially on replays. I like the serial killer side quest though.
I almost did too its the weakest part by a large margin just power through
hated the main quests and some of the open world time wasting
loved the side quests, monster hunts and DLCs
both combat and writing were a downgrade from Witcher 2 though
overall a good but not great game 7/10 for the main game and 8/10 for the DLCs
It's one of my favorite games, ever.
A diamond in the rough. The seemingly unknown masterpiece of our generation.
Witcher 3 was the first game where I took side quests seriously. Also I kept taking so many screenshots. Here are some.
Good one user.
Every step you take there's always something to look at.
a decent Skyrim mod
Breathe that fresh air
simplified shit
i want ciri to be my wife
Sorry but most people are not autists
The most impressive game of all time and also GOAT.
Slightly above mediocre game. Zero replayability because different builds didn't feel all that different to me at higher levels of the game. Even at highest difficulty, game felt way too easy. I don't know if you can min-max or something but no gear was ever better than a set of Witcher gear so customization was pretty limited to whatever school you wanted to roll. Story is engaging but I can't really call it good. I found myself interested in many of the characters but most of them never felt more fleshed out than in their codex pages. The majority of the sidequesting is tedious. Exploration isn't that fun, some regions are better than others. The DLC was cool but just more of the same for the most part.
Kino
I am currently replaying it - ng+
What exactly am I supposed to spend these level up skill points on if I already bought all good combat skills/passives in my last playthrough in all 4 trees - combat, magic, alchemy and utility?
wow that does sound better. my main complaint with the game is how fucking ass shit retarded the skills and leveling system are
cool story, shit gameplay
Not sure yet, have to wait for the 6 hour video analysis to decide
>having others form your opinion for you
Not suprised since this is Zig Forums and all but still.
Of you play blood and wine DLC you can do a quest which unlocks an upgrade to your skill tree and gives you significant boosts to your combat depending on what style of combat you like. You can spend the skill ppoints on that.
A lot of the quests are badly underwritten. They could have had much more depth and thought put into them. Example: The serial killer investigation quest.
Really makes me worry about what the quality of the quest writing will be like in CP77.
