Let me guess, you incels "need" more?
Let me guess, you incels "need" more?
Nah it's enough, movies aren't that big.
It is though unironically
Keep the games you'll be playing on the SSD and have your other games on an external
Same shit as PC but PCKikes will try and hit this as a negative for consoles
It's not because devs are increasingly lazy with memory and performance because the computer can cope with it more these days.
If you tell them they only need to stay inside X, they will fill it up to exactly X.
Consider Death Stranding is what, 60 gig? So a next gen game could easily be anything between 50 and 100. So with all the other shit they give you, apps for tv, free games n shit, you will probably have like 10 games then need to delete some.
>needs an additional hard drive
Consolecucks
even the xbox series x has 1tb as standard. fuck, after 2015 all the consoles this gen had 1tb models as standard (i think). this is the most absurd decision from sony. i mean understand why they did it because of their 12 channel SSD but it's still fucking dumb.
800gb is not really much these days. That means you can have 10 AAA games installed. Or if developers keep being retarded with their file sizes, it means 5 AAA games soon.
I just watch the road to ps5 video. Is SSD actually more important for performance than GPU or CPU? I thought the order was GPU>CPU>>>>>SSD or HDD.
>Same shit as PC but PCKikes will try and hit this as a negative for consoles
There are very little AAA games I actually give a shit about.
Bugsnax looks way cooler than anything Xbox showed so far.
For a few games at a time sure, I think they should have made enough room for a HDD for those wanting to store other things.
>Is SSD actually more important for performance than GPU or CPU
no
>I thought the order was GPU>CPU>>>>>SSD or HDD.
yes
>needing more then 200gb
No, not every PC gamer has a 2TB SSD. I do however have a 4TB HDD, you really don't need an excessive amount of space on your SSD because like you said you prioritise what you're wanting to play now.
The latest patches made modern warfare 209 GB now. (That includes warzone?)
yes ssd litterally increase your fps fivefold. sony found a secret ancient chinese recipe for visual streaming mastery that will suck your cock while you play. its call Sony® CooSheeit™
>PS4 Pro 1Tb
>PShit5 825Gb
Will Sonykeks have to wait years until the mid-ten revision lol?
It doesn't only affect PC and yes this is unacceptable to have such large installs.
test
Sony's marketing is confusing retards but the underlying approach they are taking is important and is what MS has been rolling into windows.
I have 3TB in my PS4 pro and it's all nearly full.

>Is SSD actually more important for performance than GPU or CPU?
Not directly. However, if they optimize it properly it means that they can stream textures and load things from the SSD and it frees up most of the CPU/GPU so they don't have to rely on loading things. So technically it can be an overall performance gain, if used properly.
Not sure if a false-flag
cope poor, your console will be doa
this 2bh the SSD basically runs the whole game now CPU/GPU are obsolete hardware
Yes it is very important because you are not limited by memory space as much anymore. You won't have loading screens or game worlds that get cut off at certain points or not being able to fly at max speed around giant maps because the SSS will be fast enough to hot-swap data in and out of the on-memory space fast enough and with enough throughput that it would be virtually unnoticeable.
Depending on the game this can either be very influential or not at all.
I wouldn't say dead on arrival but it has very high chances to be another PS3.
PS4 Pro is not 1TB. You're literally too stupid to have this conversation.
due de pro don even hav non of dat sheeit
How big is a ps4 pro?
Let me guess, you're fine with 41?
its a 1tb hdd formatted for 862gb of games. this guys a sperg dont listen. the ps5 will have around 650gb of actual ssd space.
>PS3 launched with 60GB HDD
>took a few years to fill up
>replaced with 320GB HDD that I never came close to filling
>PS4 launched with 500GB HDD
>can only install like five games before I have to start deleting shit
What's false-flag about it? Texture streaming has always been the future. We all laughed at the RAGE mega textures, but John Carmack was just way ahead of the time with their tech.
If the CPU/GPU isn't constantly loading in shit, it frees up performance. It might just be a "small" 5-10 FPS gain, but that's huge for consoles when they are already struggling to get 60 FPS. Also, keep in mind that this is all only IF the developers actually optimize their games for it properly.
you forgot to subtract some for the OS and page file equivalent
have you seen the file size for a 2 hours 4k movie?
Snoys SSD is nothing special. only retards believe. Microsoft already has a NVME with a Phison controller inside that can handle throughput over 2.4gb a second. This is more then enough for even the biggest games.
It's not terrible, but it's not ideal considering that upgrading it sounds expensive and error prone (and apparently even the fastest nvme drive still isn't going to be as good as the internal one).
Hopefully it'll be easy and fast to juggle games between the internal drive and USB storage.
That'll hold 10-11 AAA games max (including their updates)
You can only put ps4 games on the external HDD, all ps5 games need to be exclusively executed from the SSD
The human eye can't see less than 6 seconds of loading screen
>Black Ops 2's went down
How the fuck
as long as they stop duplicating assets and using prerendered cutscenes probably
