The return of the worst boss
Nioh 2
Speaking as someone who hated it and started to love it, it really only starts to shine later
Stuff like kurama sword dance, iai, and morning moon are going to be your bread and butter
>decided to try and get 100% smithing texts
>It's fucking cancer
>autism won't let me stop
Really the worst part of this is all those helmets from revenants and the stuff from the dojos where you can't boost your drop rate higher. But still there's no reason for the drop rate on this stuff to be so low, as if there wasn't enough farming in this game.
>he doesn't one shot laser you at the start of the fight
It is like team ninja doesn't care
>using hatchets
>jump at the same time as Naotaka's jumping slam attack
Fucking kino.
whats the highest dmg vs poisoned you guys managed to get to? im about 60%, are there diminishing returns on it?
do Tengu Disciple Scrolls exist?
NIGGOH
Does Otakemaru just have all the smithing texts in the game or something?
I did a few demon scroll missions with him and I usually get a random text from him.
One time I got SIX(6) fucking texts in a single drop.
He has a lot but not everything
what secondary weapon for hatchets?
He has a lot of weapon texts aren't unique to sets, especially elemental ones. But there's still a lot of weapons/sets that are unique drops to the people who wear them.
i have to confess, i barely use the yokai abilities, most of the time i don't even remember they exist
I mean this during the beta but at some point how do you not start using them, their just so important to break ki and there's a variety of ways to use them.
Speaking of yokai abilities what are some mediocre ones I can use similar to magatsu warrior. Something with okay damage that isn't too good. I don't want anything too busted. I've always had Kasha's soul core slotted for the run passive and now that it's buffed I feel like it's way too strong essentially being a delete enemy button which is dumb.
I usually pair it with either 1kat or spear personally.
up to this point i've just picked the soul cores that give me some passive boosts towards my ailments or damage in general and then just forget about them, i never felt like i "needed" them
it's just that i realized i might be missing out some fun there not actively using them, i really need to change my ways with it
spear sounds good, I wanted to try it some day
I used to be like you until DotD where the devs supercharged enemies. Now I use it as a fuck off button when I find myself low on stamina or I need that last bit of ki damage to break an enemy. It feels like an integral part of my moveset compared to before.
I'm at 77.3% Texts
meaning that there's like 50 left
Kusa remodeled for skill
A lot of them feel pretty shit early game or take like all of your anima to use once or twice. Or you run into situations where you use all your anima and are fucked by a red move right afterwards so you just naturally avoid using too much of it. I find the utility moves pretty nice though - elemental buffs and easy poison / paralysis are simple enough to work into your regular gameplay.
Every time I make a character I can't stop going fully magic build. I haven't even touched ninjitsu aside from the back stab skill. I just love guardian spirit talismans so much.
One thing to remember is that yokai abilities get buffed in the dark realm - so you can at least start using them in there to some great results.
the devs clearly expect players to use everything the game gives you, i got dotd 100% cleared now and some of it was probably unnecessarily tough partly because of not utilizing the yokai skills fully
Not that I've seen and I probably have 10+ hour of scrolls played in random encounters. And I have yet to see any dlc enemies in scrolls though someone claims they did.
I constantly use them after getting a few good cores with anima gain on amrita absorb.
Anyone worried about what they'll do Wise and Nioh difficulty? Demon was just so much more fun then I thought it'd be, giving enemies curse status and forcing you to counter or grapple them to make the fight more manageable. And the new burst counter attacks and general attacks. I'm really not sure what more they could change with two more difficulties to go.
Dunno man, I personally can't wait. I already have plans for Wise. I just want them to have all kinds of bullshit buffs, and for everything to debuff you, so I can finally make my Moonlight Prayer/Tanuki Yokai/Purity/Transference build idea shine.
On demon it's kinda pointless, since everything still dies quickly.
can't wait to see every enemy with elemental buffs that cause their ailments with one hit
I just want a way to change my divine gear into ethereal.
Or at least the ability to forge ethereal.
Way of the wise was where the game kinda fell apart for me in Nioh 1.
Completely remixed enemy placements would be great. Pretty sure that's how it was in Nioh 1
So glad they fixed it. My blood ran cold when it showed up.
