BUT so as not to detrail the thread, Raging Brachy can be tough, you just need to remember some form of blast protection even if its in your mantles or you'll get fucked over. His stuff is meta-worthy if you care about that kind of thing until some other good raw-gear monster comes along so its worth the pain to grind for his gear.

They made Drachen gear too powerful for its own good, probably to justify how annoyingly strong Behemoth was, but about where you are, or by the time you run into barry you should be moving over into MR stuff. Barry is considered to be the first 'wall' in Iceborne so if he doesn't make you switch to something else then you might have just gotten gud. Also better drachen than Defender stuff.

Am I bad or is the Greasword gimped in Iceborne due the new monsters being agile and running around? I had a really rough time with the Greatsword on Nicaragua and Viper.

You're bad unfortunately. It's definitely harder to play but it's still one of the best weapons with HBG

think of MH as a turn based game, with the GS you need to start your animation commitments before it's your turn. So you need to learn how to predict monster movement.
