This isn't true. EA's publisher rights to SotD have expired or will expire very soon and should revert back to GhM 100% and Suda is in talks with a studio to remake FSR, not port it.

Would a PS2 to Current Gen port of FSR be that much more difficult and time consuming over a remake?

Maybe its a timed deal thing or honoring the original Nintendo deal. Either way its playable on PC and wouldnt need that high specs.

Probably not, but I think Suda wants to make some edits or add content they way they added those epilogue chapters to TSC and expanded 25W. He seems to think about that a lot going by the way he talked about wanting to add a New Game+ to SotD in TSA.
