People who buy games know piracy exists. They don't just decide not to buy a game because they can get a free copy. Piracy does not harm sales. Only time it does hurt sales is when someone wants Sims 4 with all DLC then their friend messages them about a cracked version of the game.

Pirates will always pirate. Pirates are a niche group. People that buy games will always buy games. Buyers don't get converted to pirates.

The "pirates don't spend on games" thing is old and busted, they tend to be hyperconsumers and might be torrenting FIFA at the same time they're dropping $1k on a mobile game. If you prevent them from pirating they buy in.
