You did make the correct choice, right Zig Forums?
You did make the correct choice, right Zig Forums?
yes, i didn't buy the game
how do people keep talking about this game
the gameplay is good, but the plot is mediocre at best but people somehow parade it around like it's actually good
have you not played any other games or read a book in the past decade
I sure did.
It is mediocre, but consider that it follows in the footsteps of games with even more mediocre stories told with significantly less competence.
>Implying I'd ever betray my mommy
I put a ring on her finger, yes
Of course. I threw the game in the trash and vowed to only ever play FE games made by Kaga.
>Byleth's father Jeralt was a son of Faerghus before joining the Church as a Knight of Seiros.
That alone tells me it's only appropriate to choose the Blue Lions House.
of course
BL is the correct route, that boy needs you the most out of all of the cast.
>the plot is mediocre at best
No. People parade it around like it's actually good because it is. You're the one acting like it isn't.
Watched my husband Dimitri murder the bitch while all her former Black Eagle classmates watched, yes.
The game would be good if it was one route.
Just add a couple of slither chapters before the end of BL and you get yourself a solid FE game story-wise, even if their cult shit is by far the worst part of it and most is told through an infodump.
fpbp
wish i didn't. 3h is such a garbage strategy game
Yep, I did.
I just started this game today and joined the Golden Deers because they had the best looking girls, Claude seemed kind of funny, and why not.
>the gameplay is good
Did my first playthrough as them and really enjoyed their story. Started my NG+ run today with the Blue Lions.
Bernie! Bernie! Bernie!

Edelgard is so cute and cuddly, her hair smells like freshly picked hresvelg tea leaves as it flows freely from the sweet Brigid sea breeze that comes through the imperial palace in Enbarr. Oh how I long to kiss her ample forehead and squeeze her cute chest garnished in her straightened long white hair as we make love on the imperial bed lined with the finest Adrestian silk. Edelgard would certainly make a caring and loving mother to our many beautiful offspring as we resign to a quiet life outside of the imperial capital to explore the prosperous world we created freeing humanity from those awful dragons. We would frequent Garreg mach monastery in the summer months and attend my new private quarters and make love on the very bed the lizard dragon Rhea once slept in without remorse. The thought of her seeing her descendants have passionate sex on the very bed she used during her reign excites Edelgard just a little too much every single time. Her behavior in bed was much more exhausting for me than on the imperial bed in Enbarr due to her increase vigor at the mere thought of mocking a former representative of a goddess. To Edelgard, it was as if the spirit of Rhea were there to watch us and scorn in utter rage, but could do nothing in retaliation other than to stare in helplessness. This thought brought nothing but satisfaction to Edelgard and it was a treat to see her in such a reinvigorated mood that would never cease to amaze me. This passion between us is like no other and I would unironically die for her if I had to and risk my own life for her own many times over in a heartbeat. Edelgard is worth protecting, and I could not go on living life without her and her sweet kisses and hugs she gives me every day. I loooooove Edelgard and she loves me.
maybe compared to other fire emblem games it is but it's just not good
the plot is full of unexplained holes and in an attempt to go for gray morality makes everyone retarded
combine that with the extremely evil cultists with a dumb fucking name as a general scapegoat and you have a stupid plot
I mean it's tactics. Sure there are better games in the tactics genre, but it's pretty hard to fuck up tactics.
>it's tactics
You can cruise through the entire game (on hard mode no less) by blindly rushing your units forward with no regard for formation, terrain, or enemy composition. It's braindead, and the only people who would find it difficult or engaging are sub 80 IQ smoothbrains.
this is a tactics game whose optimal strategy on the highest difficulty is to pour all of the resources into one or two units and beat the game with pure stat creep. they very easily fucked up tactics here.
true
the series definitely needs more depth to it but I don't know how I'd change it without making it a clone of fft or xcom
It has a good number of mechanics but they rarely seemed to matter to me when I played
>more depth
hmm maybe the game could use a system where weapons have inherent advantages and disadvantages against each other in combat.
or maybe they could limit what classes can use what weapons.
I know I'm getting a little crazy here, but they could try having map objectives other than seize and rout. Maybe a fatigue system that prevents you from soloing the entire game with a stat-inflated juggernaut. Perhaps the lord character could be more like a king in chess - tactically relevant but not a one-man army. Or maybe mounted units would be forced to dismount indoors to balance their otherwise unparalleled mobility. Just thinking aloud, here.
I LOVE EDELGARD!
Edelgard was wrong, most people that defend her only played her route, the one that was filled with misinformation and shitty writing cause it was an afterthought route, the epilogue, as in all routes is meant to be taken as the winners of the war rewriting story as they pleased, so can't be used as proof of Fodlan being happy ever after, most of this is said by the developers and by people that can think by themselves, can we stop having this thread every fucking day?
Play
The
Game
To kill her?
Sure did.
imagine using her horns to facefuck her
It gets a lot of discussion because it's the best we've gotten to enjoy from the series recently, it has a lot of failings but it's at least a step in the right direction after fateswakening.
A fatigue system could be interesting.
Imagine if you had to cycle out units every map to let them rest, or else suffer stat penalties?
I'd never implement a system that worked mid map, but a map to map system could be interesting.
You'd have to actually use your bench, and would have to choose your strong carry units a little more carefully rather than just going full steam every map.
