Mini/Mega shrooms are god awful and more often than not just cause the game to slow to a crawl if a star ends up behind a mini-pipe and people get unlucky. I'll never really understand why people like 4 so much.

Also going to add in that something people never talk about is how annoyingly slow the GC MP games are. I played 4 and then played 2/3 afterwards and it's insane how much quicker the N64 games are. You can play 2 games in the time it takes to finish one game of 4.
