How do we fix TES combat

it just works

add timed parries with more accurate melee attacks (aiming for the leg or head for different outcomes)

stop using fucking gamebryo
and let Id handle combat gameplay

See, I kinda understand his rationale - it's the same as not wanting better shooting modded into the original Deus Ex.

But it's actually beside the point. A lot of the problems with TES combat come down to the shitty animations, and lack of impact and feeling of weight to anything. It's very dissonant with the experience, both first and third person. That's why even some of the simplest combat mods for Oblivion and Skyrim seemed like such a massive improvement.

I was kinda shocked by how Skyrim did almost nothing to fix this after Oblivion. It made me think that their dev team just straight up don't understand true 3D games.

I legit feel sorry for people who still have hopes for elder scrolls. Most of the fans are retards now because bethesda went off the deep end with its lowest common denominator targeted design. Bethesda is hellbent on pandering to these retards for more money and bethesda isnt even smart themselves so many of their mediocre ideas are poorly implemented.
Its a shitshow and their one big thing they had going for themselves which was their huge worlds with shitloads of features and ways to play is being cut down with feature after feature being cut for a more "concise" game.
