What was the point of bringing up Kaede's sister at all?
I feel V3's whole ending was to tell Danganronpa's fandom, which I assume is as autistic as any other japanese game, to fuck off and the team wanting to be done with the franchise already.

Sometimes avoiding spoilers is a curse, if I knew they were going to end it with a meta 4th wall break I would have never gotten into this series.
Sucks cuz V3 was my favorite right up the reveal

I thought they just retold the exact story from the games so I never bothered with them

First anime is the first game rushed to hell and a lot of stuff skipped.

Second anime is made by people who only read the synopsis of the plots and characters.

Can that be even considered a red herring at all if it was mentioned like three times? I dunno, I think Kokichi faking being a Despair remnant was more of a Red Herring

The first one yes, it's a retelling of the first game. The one called Danganronpa 3 is a continuation of Danganronpa 2, and it ended nicely I think, giving everyone sort of like an objective they could do on their own.

The DR3 anime is an original story which acts as both a prequel and conclusion to the DR1-2-UDG plotline

it only comes up in the final chapter, when you gather info about who the master mind is
the series loves having similar events happen again
you are a suspect in chapter 1, you discover the past of a character in chapter 2, chapter 3 has a double murder, the muscular character dies in chapter 4, chapter 5 is a lose/lose scenario
