my personal favourite is when the person playing is clearly in the middle of some platform shit or some puzzle, and amidst 100 emotes scrolling you just see phrases like

Realize that streamers are just the reality tv of this generation.
Those same guys you are complaining about were watching reality tv 20 years ago and religiously discussing what happens after every episode, hating on X and praising Y even though the whole thing is scripted.

90% of mankind are NPCs, these kids are flocking to streamers now, but in another life they were burning witches because the local lord called them so.

the XFM show with ricky gervais, steve and karl had a listener email in with "do you ski?" which is the same breed of person, but radio in 2004 is nowhere near twitch in 2020

Twitch or not people will always find a way to be retarded, but internet should never be made popular or widely used like this, it should've had some regulations to prevent kids from being destroyed by medias since young age.
I started being a neet loser internet faggot when I was 12, I was little but not that much to be conditioned by big corporations and I did understand the value of money already. 5-6 years old kids don't.

I don't know but it is sad to see so many people get to the point that they think the streamer actually knows them in some form. Like telling the streamer about their day like he/she would give a fuck. Worst are the ones that do some huge donation or gift subs for less than 1 minute of attention.

Watched someone gift 100 subs at once, streamer did the "shocked" shtick that they all do. Thanked them and chat POGs and shit. Not even 5 minutes later already forgotten.
