too much focus on gay cosmetics and jewing people

Gunplay wasn't as satisfying, too much emphasis on running around instead of managing threats.
They also toned down both its Britishness and anything sexual.
It felt like a castrated pretender.

It also helps KF1 that it can run on a toaster, you can throw a $2 key at any friend with a netbook and have a good time.

they did away with the gritty artstyle of the original and made almost every zed design worse. KF2 characters are less charismatic, voice lines are watered down, and Insult Players was removed from the voice commands list.
also lootboxes and prestige levels make the game experience overall feel cheapened compared to KF1

Early Access/Alpha/Beta/whatever had a ton of promise. It was slated to just be KF1 with better graphics and more than 3(4 if DAR was voice acted) voice actors. the MEAT gore physics were godlike, nvidia flex was godlike, hans was cool boss design. then they jew'd out with crates and cosmetics (then compensated with dosh vault), fucked up the patriarch, added EDARs, rescaled a bloat and called him a boss, rescaled the fp twice and called him a new ZED and boss, and unique weapons are pretty much a distant dream as the game has shitty expensive weapon packs and HRG reskin weapons.
as for the community, the workshop's a joke as it's bloated with weapon skins. there are too little maps and actual custom workshop weapons.
as for nitpicks, sprinting shouldn't have been added, those chest flashlight things shouldn't have been added, and both camping and running around have been nerfed:
>you can't camp without a team, otherwise you're overwhelmed
>if you're not running in a loop, a swarm of crawlers/clots/slashers will bodyblock you and you're instakilled by the chasing zeds

They fell for the “cyberpunk” meme. Robots were a fucking mistake

YOURE ALL FURCOATS AND NO KNICKERS, BITCHES (removed from kf2 for being horrifically toxic and sexist and rude)

>Shame, darlin', but even you can't carry that much

>those chest flashlight things shouldn't have been added,
this is honestly the second worst thing they did IMO, the first being adding a shit ton of indestructible lights to maps (especially catacombs, shit was a blast to play in the pitch darkness)
Not only do I miss having to compromise between having a better gun or being able to see, but the flashlights also last too long, so you really never have to worry about it being dark, especially when most classes also have NV now too

There were robots in the first one too.

as a playable character
robots killing zombies is still killing zombies
humans killing robots its not killing zombies

Yeah, I feel you on that one. I really wish they would've sticked with their guns on that one and just kept that design philosophy instead of completely abandoning it. Hell, honestly all the "work" they've put in their useless weapon upgrade system, they could've spend making a purchaseable, attachable flashlight at a reasonable cost & added weight. That would've added some meaningful decision making of carrying a bigger/ additional gun VS being able to better hold out in already "used up" holding spots.

What also really bothers me on the weapon side of things (besides the animations being not as cool and weighty as in 1) is the selection of guns they've added post launch.
All the HRG reskin shit is a waste & eyesore and the few new actual weapons they've added that aren't some weird sci-fi stuff are really lacking in purpose most of the time.
I don't feel I have a reason to deviate from my trusted basic loadout for any of the new guns.
Would have also loved to get to dual wield red-9's as Gunslinger or even my old love the mk23, but I guess it'll never be.

>false promises
>downgraded the game from the dev diaries and screenshots
>"we-we-we'll add new moves to the zeds on each difficulty!"
>husk was the only one who got actual new moves
>other zeds just ran at you and flailed their arms around more
>still no significant distinction between each clot variant other than appearance
>cancelled crawlers abilities to crawl on walls because "it'll look janky and is hard to get right!"
>makes enemies bullet spongy
>fleshpounds spawning in already raging
>removed the intense fleshpound kiting by making him autorage after a while rather then cancel reset rage timer per swing/out of los
>le wacky fun fun casualized bang bang shooter
>zeds voices got extremely generic and they don't even talk that much anymore
>you could dodge the Scrake's attack by strafing around him
>instead of utilizing and building up the scrake from that unintentional design choice by making him a bulky maniacal menace, make him home in on his target so he never misses
The only thing they got right at the start was the movement, just remove sprinting and bring back the old Scrake voice too. I know some fags shit on it, but at least he was laughing and had this awesome deep voice. Just need to give him more dialogue.

I really miss the scrakes "you're next" animation. They cut out the little personality he had left by changing his voice and with this, also yeah his homing is retarded.

TELEPORTING ZEDS

i feel as if it's not the fact that more moves get added the higher the difficulty, it's the fact that zeds get LESS moves per lower difficulty, if that makes sense.
it feels as if slashers combo-ing and crawlers and stalkers cartwheeling were meant for the base game, but they made them based on difficulty. it's stuff you'd expect they pull off as moves. what you DON'T expect is a husk using his fireball launcher as a flamethrower. same as you, i believe that was an actual new move added.

The game would still be fun if they didn't try tp milk everyone for the last fucking dollar. They want paid cosmetics? Fine, who gives a shit but going back to paid weapons? And the fact that once they start making paid weapons that's when they start adding weapons that were highly requested by the community. What a fucking joke of a company.

Alex no longer had anything to do with 2.

kf2 scrake feels like bargain bin fp. he doesn't even wear a paper mask anymore, it's now a metal faceplate

KF was my favorite co-op game. I played so much of it, the guns felt so satisfying and the whole game was loaded with charm. KF2 is just not the same. The reason why KF1 was so good it's because at its core it was very simple.

it was promising when flare revolvers were a base weapon added to the game. and the zweihander was a promo weapon, whatever. but now you expect me to pay 10$ for 2 weapons? fuck off tripwire, we know you're empty in the bank but don't pull shit like this. listen to the community.

remember the huge maps of KF1? Can KF2 even compete.

KF2 is chaotic while KF1 looked chaotic but required precision.

maps are big in KF2 but they're dogshit design
>if solo, run around in circles otherwise you'll sprint too far and the game's gonna spawn a wall of crawlers and clots in front of you to bodyblock; in kf1, you'd get cut off by a reasonable amount of zeds
>if in a group, find a tight corridor and cower behind a demolitionist/support/sharpshooter with a railgun. i won't deny camping wasn't a thing in kf1, but west london tunnels were extremely wide, biotics lab had 3 corridors to pay attention to, etc.

The zeds are a bit spongy in general. While a lot of the weapons feel good, a lot also feels like wet noodles. Mainly most of the melee weapons.

Why would you go melee in the first place?

I really wish they had more indoor maps with every light being destructible. Those moments on BurningParis train system when the lights are going and seeing the zeds by the flashlight and muzzle flash is some cool shit.

kf berserker has always had a reputation of being the last man standing, healing himself indefinitely and killing zeds one by one till he wins the wave

>a lot of the weapons feel good
you mean demolitionist and support only. and gunslinger for the novelty

How do you nerf BOTH camping AND running around? One has to be the superior strategy.

Killing Floor is $1 right now on Humble Bundle. What's your excuse for not playing it?
