I thought it was fun. The open world was probably the best part and I really liked how the world wasn't segregated by monster difficulty. The vertical nature of the world was also really nice.
I went with melee so I felt the full clunkyness of the combat. I probably would have had an easier time if I knew that each strike needed to be timed properly to fill up the combo meter from the start.
Story is quite bland and felt like it dragged on towards the end.

One of the most fun games I've played recently. Jetpack was a great addition that makes exploration more fun and much less frustrating than ever before since you don't have to worry about falling off a random cliff.
The game world is really well built considering the premise. There is a fantasy town, a postapo town, and a sci-fi town so you'd think that the game would be a jumbled mess but they all fit pretty well together.
The only problem is melee combat which is really janky, so I'd avoid that and focused on ranged weapons/granades.
Unlike Risen it tries to do something original and intersting so it doesn't feel like a bargain-bin Gothic. Don't listen to Steam reviews, these people are shitheads.

Dragon's Dogma is like the opposite of this game. It's really polished, but the world and quests are so boring I dropped the game twice.

Fighting system had me raging many times, as IST is shit, but the game still is fun to play. I liked the world and the quests are okay too.
Story is meh. Just give it a try. Can't do nothing wrong with 1/3 of the price

elex was okay but i really liked greedfall. im absolutely terrified that one day spiders are going to shed the jank, create something really good, and then get the soul sucked out of them by some enormous corp who buys them.
