Any objections?

No sequel

MGR's gameplay is amazing on the first playthrough but going for a pure S-rank run really makes its flaws apparent.

This, still fun as hell though
Only bad part is The beginning of Chapter 4 if you're going for all S Ranks

>Free will is a myth

Free Will (ie bad goyism) is the original sin in Christianity. In Genesis 3 the original sin is literally eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, obvious allegory for critical thinking which jew slaves lack. In this story god also tells Adam and Eve that they will die if they ate the apple, instead they learn to think. The christian "god" is a liar. This is the absolute state of christians.

Don't think of elephants.

If we have free will then why can't people choose not to be gay?

Are ya sure that it's a video game board?

>Thought Free Will being real was nothing more than some bullshit religious people believed in
>The subject came up with friends
>They legitimately believed that people could make choices divorced from their Nature and Nurture
I was honestly shocked, I couldn't get them to budge an inch, and they were convinced that the idea of there being no free will was legitimately terrifying.
I probably should have seen this coming, they aren't sciency types.

Yeah, people reject the idea that free will doesn't exist because it scares them, which is ironic because that subconscious response is why it doesn't exist.

Why does free will not exist? Aren't there some chemical phenomenons that are completely random in nature? Or do you consider that randomness "destiny" too?

>Aren't there some chemical phenomenons that are completely random in nature?
No.
Outside of some quantum fuckery, pretty much everything can be calculated mathematically, true randomness doesn't exist.

Physics says that everything in the future is as set as everything in the past. The only difference is that we can't remember the future.

Because they are faggots

Fair enough. I honestly don't care, after all it still feels like I have free will so it doesn't feel that bad. Even if somehow tomorrow we realized the entire universe is just a simulation on a pc I wouldn't care less and just continue my life. Not that I could do much about it anyway.

That's cool user.

But like, the idea seriously disturbs some people, they break down if you so much as suggest there's not some purpose to life.

>true randomness doesn't exist

It does, in the sense of quantum randomness. Even if the outcome is predetermined, it's the kind of predetermined that nothing in the present can predict.

you just proved his point

it is for normalfags, only E N L I G H T E N E D people truly have free will

People get really really really hung up on the "pre-determined" bit when I mention I'm a determinist.
They always conflate it with fatalism, and become convinced I must be really bothered by the idea.
I had some people mock me because I believed in something so "depressing", and I just don't get it man.

We evolved to grow up, make copies of ourselves and die. It's why our brains rapidly lose neuroplasticisty after 25. The minds we have aren't meant to be used this long.

>true randomness doesn't exist.
Don't be retarded.

What's there not to get? Everyone believes in what they like

>It's why our brains rapidly lose neuroplasticisty after 25
>tfw 24
Probably explains why old people are so damn stubborn about what they believe in

Yeah, I can get over the camera being an absolute dog shit sometimes, but the lack of audioques and decent antiair tools is way too frustrating.

Why is Guzma so fucking biased

>Why of course we have Free Will
>I mean, I chose to post on this thread didn't I?

This. Xtian faggots gtfo

That's not what free will means.

>people believing the freewill is a myth meme

Free will comes from critical thinking, which is an emergent quality of conciousness. Use your brain

>outside of quantum fuckery
you just proved his point lmao

>In this story god also tells Adam and Eve that they will die if they ate the apple, instead they learn to think.
They do die, user. The Fall is what gave us mortality, user. If it weren't for Adam and Eve, we'd all live forever.

The real hell is getting those "no damage against bosses on revengeance" achievements

Well, kind of. The most important factor in determining how likely someone is to be persuaded by a logical argument is their age. To give an extremely blunt example, you can teach a 10 year old that 1+1=2 fairly easily, even if they thought 1+1 was 3 before they spoke to you. But if you were dealing with a 50 year old who has believed all their life that 1+1=3, they're going to be all "No... wait... that's not true but I can't explain why", even as you show them the evidence of 1+1 equaling 2. "Get them while they're young" is a phrase for a reason. It's empirical.

But for all ages, emotional arguments are far more persuasive than logical arguments. That's what really shows how dumb we are.

Not him, but I think the implication he made was that we don't understand much about quantum shit, so it's difficult to make an assertion about determinism in that context, especially without using assumptions.

How so, Mr. Retard?

I agree, Snake Eater is the best in the series.

No way fag, I have all of them, the second S rank in Chapter 4 is still more difficult.

So there is chaos theory that everything is truly random but with true chaos comes true order.
Everything impacts each other and everything controls each other.
It's like everything is meaningful and meanless. Everything impacts everything at once so everything is meaningful but everything is meaningless since everything around you is controlling what you do and who you are.

Free will is real. You can do whatever you want. But if other people "punish" you for what you did than that was their free will clashing with yours.

You need to read up on what chaos theory actually is and means, because you're going full psued there. It makes no comment on determinism, or ontological meaning, it just describes correlated volatile systems.
