It is made of, by, and for the most casual gamers. It is a game accessible even by seven year olds. It is a game built on an archaic engine designed to run on ancient platforms while taking advantage of the power of no modern hardware. It is an RPG that completely ignores magic and renders it ineffective and useless. It is a Role Playing Game that ignores role playing. It is an RPG with limited character builds yet always leads to stealth archer. It is the very definition of soulless in that the game has no awareness of itself. For example - You can venture though the entire quest line to become the Arch Mage and yet the world barely notices. Combat is as shallow as can, designed to mash button X to win, again to serve the casual gamer audience. The quests are dull, the caves are small and repetitive, the rewards are uninteresting, and the main story is bland. There are no consequences for the choices you make in the game, as though the outcome is always predetermined for you. Kill every NPC in the city, pay a fine, and the world is right again -- Designed with the casual gamer in mind. Skyrim is as wide as an ocean but as deep as a puddle, much like its fanbois.

Look, it's fine if you like Skyrim. But don't mistake Skyrim for a good game. It's not. It's babby food for babby gamers. It's designed entirely for the new gamer who is as casual as they come. You like it? Great. Welcome to gaming. You will soon realize just how crappy Skyrim is and how even worse Bethesda is (Fallout 3, Fallout 4, Fallout 76).
