ITT Pleb filters
ITT Pleb filters
>get told the teleporter is good against the final boss
>never used the teleporter before
>test it out first by sending my 2 bug bash brothers into an enemy ship
>destroy all systems, the damage is immeasurable
>fail to realize you need to call them back before the ship explodes or they'll die
>another run ruined
yes, I am retarded
lmao
at least you won't forget to teleport em back in the future user
This whole game was a pleb filter, same with ITB.
Can't wait for their next game.
I love ITB so much. One of my favorite games from recent years.
Did it do well?
Remember there being a buzz about it initially, but it was free not long ago.
I didn't follow the sales figures. I bought it for half price on Switch last summer and played it voraciously to 100% completion.
How come all the braindead retards defend RNG games as if they're the epitome of difficulty, is it trying to validate bragging rights? The only thing they filter are idiots that don't adapt to the game's approach and are under the assumption that the game takes skill and that you just have to brute-force it
>I'm not going to have my party synergize in any way and are also very shoddy for the zone, time to defeat the boss
>wtf why is the boss kicking my party's ass this game sucks
I remember playing shit like this on paper when I was like 12. Also build giant labyrinths with different mechanisms and traps
Isn't it no longer a valid strat, since the AI autopilot takes over if you kill everyone?
this happened to me on the flagship. I killed the missiles operator with 2 gold skilled mantises but I fucking forgot to tp them back after a weapon volley out of sheer panic
>Play FTL everyday day for almost 2 week.
>Enjoy it for the most part.
>Never get very far, but endure it.
>One run just goes perfectly, perfect events, perfect encounters, perfect shops.
>Blitz through the each sector and beat the the final boss incredibly easily.
>Lose all interest in playing the game more after realising I was never doing anything particularly right or wrong, but just trying to get good luck.
>played it voraciously to 100% completion
Damn, maybe I'll give it a try.
I've reached a point where barring terrible luck I can salvage almost any run. Then I get greedy and it all falls apart.
All achievements plus all gold medals for all squads (and one perfect score max difficulty run with a custom squad) took me well over 100 hours. I've put in about 200 hours of play time in total.
>still cant play FTL on android
Sad.
Yeah, it's the perfect mobile game.
How do I win this?
second time I managed to beat it but then it came back stronger and destroyed me
ITB was okay, but your options are severely limited and too heavily tied to the group you're running. Which ruins the replay value.
Did they rebalance it by attaching the weapons systems to the main ship?
That's in Hard
>tfw used the training exploit to win easily
I wouldn't call it a pleb filter, it's actually hard.
Real pleb filter is probably Zoltan ship against auto-shoot players.
you can beat the game with almost any start though, you're still probably not playing it as well as you could
that whole game is a fucking pleb filter. I die within like ten or twenty turns a bunch. Say whatever. Install it again later to try it again. Die on the second turn.
Whatever the fuck I'm retarded, fine. I'm a pleb. I don't get it and it's not fun trying to figure it out. Enjoy the game. What the fuck ever. Only paid like three dollars for it anyway.
Just leave one of the guys manning a gun alive and the AI can't take over.
doesn't work on hard though
The flagship is an objectively bad boss fight. Good final bosses are a test of your skill, something the whole game has been preparing you for. The flagship instead throws it all away and requires a completely different specialized build. If the game encourages me to get rid of the weapon I've used for 99% of the game just for the final boss then it's doing something wrong.
mate, unless you're playing on easy, you don't have the necessary scrap to switch up weapons at the end
further you can defeat the final boss with a wide variety of weapons if you know what you're doing
No, you absolutely need heavy firepower in order to defeat the flagship. That means either a ton of laser/flak or good timing with hacking + beam + another weapon. If you can't break through those massive shields then you're fucked, which isn't the case for normal fights.
>No, you absolutely need heavy firepower in order to defeat the flagship.
See, this is how we know you don't know what you're talking about.
>Still can't get the Crystal Cruiser
the fuck are you talking about, ships regularly have 4 shields as early as sector 6 and in sector 8 you occasionally get enemies with 5 shields, which is one more than the boss has
if your loadout can't take care of 4 shields when you reach the final boss then you got lucky
got the crystal cruiser the hard way back in the days
tons of unique events in the crystal sector, that virtually nobody will see
You don't need shield removal to defeat normal ships. You can have good defense + slowly whittle them down using boarding. Doing that on the flagship will get you destroyed because you can't reliably defend against it.
