ITT: Came and went
ITT: Came and went
Don't have a picture of it but Fast and Furious crossroads
Yep. It was a mediocre game with a cool premise. Zero staying power.
This, sadly.
I swear to god it would have done way better if the "HUB" wasn't so bad.
Most single player indie games are like that. Even if they're well received they just don't garner a big enough audience to keep people talking. Stuff like Katana Zero and Hyper Light Drifter comes to mind.
It's just too expensive for what it is. If it were maybe $10, it would have been a neat little time-waster with an interesting concept and room to expand. At $20, you're asking too much for too little.
I think Katana zero did way better tho, at least the soundtrack was good to make people come back to it, gameplay never suffered, carrion felt like a draft after a while.
>indie 2d pixelshit game that has a good premise and "fresh new idea" fades into obscurity due to the sheer number of titles being put out
many such cases
It was fun while it lasted
For all of the hype and delays of Journey's End, it sure did fizzle. Not even a tidal wave of porn--just a regular wave.
yeah, i just played through katana zero in a single session again, and there was never a point where i'm like, "this isn't fun"
Final Fantasy 7 remake surprisingly
I just wanted a good Thing game
user, Zig Forums was seething for like months and the normies loved it.
It did well enough that the dev said the story ending free DLC is now 3x longer then originally planned which is why it's taking so long.
It's called "carry on" what did you expect it to do, stick around?
the only thing that lasted from that game was the 3d porn
actually fucking clever
Yeah
It came, I enjoyed it quite a lot, and now I can move on
Not everything has to be a fucking world-ending phenomenon. Not everything has to be "relevant" at all times to be valid. Some things can just be.
It's hard to metric, but I was trying to mention just the update itself. Is tModLoader finally working for 1.4?
It is a good game but it would be nice if they create some expansions for it (both in story and gameplay/mechanics) and give some quality of life improvements. It was so close to being awesome but as it is it is very good - flawed, but still very good.
The good thing is most of them continue to thrive for years and years in different waves, as players become exposed to them and /or return to their backlog. Both of those two are excellent and worth playing, but they're not going to stay in the current top-of-the-zeitgeist chatter position much after launch. Instead, they'll be relegated to genre favorites, be compared favorably to other games that arrived et.c. and that's okay. Hell even most major AAA (or AAs) don't stay at the top of the discussion for very long, unless they're either extremely noteworthy for one reason or another or have a multiplayer/live service component where there is always something new.
>FF7R
>when we're still getting daily threads to this day
FFXV is a good example of came and went because despite the 10 years of development, people forgot about it in a month
lmao
Carrion is at best forgettable which is a shame. Felt more like a tech demo then an actual game. The puzzles weren't really puzzles and the combat wasn't really combat. Overall I'd give it a meh, probably won't even remember it existed in 6 months time.
i didnt meant to imply it was a bad game or experience but it had a lot of flaws that made it easier to forget about it except for the idea.
No clue, 500 hours in the game and i have never touched a single mod. same with minecraft with 8000+ hours. mods suck
>named that my steam shortcut
>heard other people say Carry On, or mention Wayward Son
Still a good pun.
>the "carry on my wayward son" achievement
$10 is too low imo, but yeah, $20 is kind of too high. $15 is would have been ok. It is a fantastic game that does everything right it set out to be. I had a blast playing it.
Only women and literal retards screech at the no map/"confusing" level design because they can't navigate for shit and would get lost in a Wallmart without their smartphone
I liked the game probably more than the average person on Zig Forums. But even I can admit the game really needed a map feature
Deadly Premonition 2. I felt like fans were really excited for that game and then nothing (except some tranny drama).
and Curse of the Moon 2, holy shit.
holy fucking shit
Curse of the moon biggest fuckup was the price
Well no shit you can beat it in less then 4 hours. They really should have made it harder and given you a fucking map.
