What do you guys think of Factorio? It's out of early access now. I haven't got the full game yet because I don't have any money, but even the demo is really fun for me.

I like goods management and have efficiency autism, the game is nice but looking at how I gotta re-do my buildings over and over to become more efficient is annoying.
SPIDERBOT!
A real fucking time sink. I'm too much of a brainlet to make efficient distribution lines. Anyone recommend a video guide?
Most people will find it a great game and so can get way too invested. Would reccomend, should be in the top 100 of the best games of all time.
Recently started a new run with Krastorio 2.
It's been pretty fun thus far and surprisingly easy to push up through. Expanding my resource mining operations now so I can up throughput and push into Greens. Pretty simple bus of Iron, Copper, Wood, and Science atm.
>Anyone recommend a video guide?
there's a guy called JD Plays he does a lot of Factorio tutorials, some are old but most still hold up
but i recommend you using the Max rate calculator mod so you know exactly how much your builds produce so you can adjust accordingly on your own
Look up KatherineOfSky on jewtube. For a woman, she actually knows something useful.
Forgot pic.
This is THE game. That's what I think
Krastorio2 is great. Feels almost like a natural extension of vanilla compared to other mods of the same vein
The longer you play the higher your autism shows.
Agreed, although I haven't gotten super far yet, it feels really nice compared to other mods I've played with.
there is literally no reason to pave your factory with concrete
It buffs movement speed.
>Inb4 "use bricks"
Concrete is 140%.
Bricks are 130%.
Back when I played old management games like Transport Tycoon and Settlers 2, I always looked forward to imagining how amazing those types of games could get when computer power advanced over the next 10-20 years. Factorio is one of the few games that really lived up to those expectations from my childhood.
Would it work on a rx 460 with 2gb vram?
i'm pretty sure you can run this game on a toaster with no issues dude
Probably. Check the minimum/recommend specs on it's Steam page
They haven't added anything substantial in like 3 years. It's the exact same game as then except a post game spiderbot
>start a new game with bob's shit like 5 days before the update
>notice the game updating I freak out because all the shit I modded would broke
>wasn't even sure if you could continue a previous save from another version.
>game works just fine, not 1 single issue, even the mods are working fine.
so this is the power of actual competent devs, woah
Read the changelog. They literally didn't do shit but officially calling it done. That's not competence, that's laziness
And add the Spiderbot.
>laziness
Nigga, they made an entire fucking game. What have you done in the last 8.5 years besides shit your pants?
fucking zoomer, this dev is anything but lazy
What are some fun modpacks if I launched rockets twice, but don't want to go full BobAngel?
That Industrial revolution mentioned in FFF sometime looked great. But the modder had some shit happen so now it's not getting updated past .17?
Krastorio 2. It features similar stuff to Bob/Angel with some new resources to manage, Chems, expanded Science, etc., but is overall much smaller in scope.

Suggested mods are your preference as well, I really like Alien Biomes.
I would say the devs are lazy scumbags, but they did release the game for free permanently on GOG so they're alright in my book. Game's alright
im playing it now and it really shows how shit i am at planning, if you make shit infrastructure at the start its going to fuck you up in the future like it is RN
So just rebuild it.
Rampant
I'm trying to play the new update on vanilla. Last I played was beta and the map gen has changed so much, I can't build the same factory.
>do i have to build scatter factories now?
In the Tech tree, you'll find a research called Cliff dynamite I believe. This will let you clear those rocky structures away.
