The only bullshit level in the game is Snow Barrel Blast, but even that is forgivable because it has a shortcut to skip the second half.
Platform Perils is easy though, and you're absolute shit if it filters you.

I didn't really care much about any level from pic-related. Not that they were hard, it's just a boring collection of levels within this area.

There isn't a single difficult level in DKC1. I think the hardest snow level took me 5 tries as a young kid. If you're bitching about dying a few times in a platformer you shouldn't be playing them.
