I'M NOT FUCKING UPGRADING!
I'LL BE PLAYING 1080P ON MY 2070S FOR THE NEXT 5 YEARS.
60FPS AND HIGH GRAPHIC SETTINGS WILL BE MINE FOREVER @ 1080P AHAHAHAHAHAHAA

4k is a meme but 1080p is just pleb tier. 1440p is the new standard.
>spends $600 on a GPU
>still can't get at least 144 hz @ 1080p
shiggy diggy
there's been a lot of mustard cope going on lately. are you guys afraid of the new consoles?
????????
this is a pc gaming Zig Forums board
flat screens destroyed gaming, they are literally all shit, and we all suffer because of this.
Hook up something meant for a CRT and play on one, you'll understand what I mean.
1440p is more of a meme than 4k if anything, rope yourself faggot
if not going for 240 FPS then you're just a poor roody poo
Can't find any 1440p in my state
They recommend 4k
But with better hz
4k/144 will be the standard by the time the RTX 5000 series is out.
Agreed
I need to get a 144hz monitor though
>why yes
>I play at 1440p\144fps
>how could you tell?
Just ordered mine a while ago feels good man
1080i CRT master race reporting in
mine is curved
based. if i could use a 1080p crt, i would.
but I'm buying a 3080 for 1440p max settings
Been 1080p since 2007 and I'm going another 10 years.
Still gaming on a Panasonic plasma from 2006 and it still looks better than all my friends shitty-off-angle 4k displays that weigh less than the boxes they come in.
I feel like 1440p but 21:9 should be a new standard.
One of my friends have it and games look way better when they have 21:9 support than regular full hd.
I'm going to get one myself on my next payday but I'm not sure yet which one to pick.
until microled monitors release it's all a meme
Honestly you’ve probably made a wise choice, games look choppy as shit to me now at 60fps after playing at 144hz, you literally don’t know what you’re missing so you can’t be affected
Have you guys tried 1080p ultrawide? What is it like?
Cell shaded games like Ni No Kuny looks so nice in 4k
>1440p is the new standard.
It was seen as a stopgap before 4K 60fps ultra became a thing but even the 2080 Ti struggles with 4K 60fps on some games. 1440p has really become popular on high end rigs. Who would have thought. I remember buying a 1440p monitor in 2015 and Zig Forums told me that I would regret it in 2 years when 4K would be mainstream. How's that been holding up?
>60FPS
what? at least get a hfr monitor.
thats the only reason to stick to 1080p in this day and age.
nope. i've tried 144hrz, and while it was amazing and makes 60fps look like 30fps, i'm sticking with 60.
Currently playing Vanquish @ 1440p 144hz and it looks controls better than a lot of modern games. For me it's just how smooth the inputs feel at that frame rate that makes it hard to go back to anything else.
i run at 1600x900
Me: 1080p window on 1440p desktop
>I can't afford 4k, so I have to settle for 1440p
based
Based
900p 90hz for me
