Is this walkie talkie sim worth a playthrough?
Who the fuck wants to watch a movie of a garbage walking simulator game?
I unironically consider this piece of shit to be one of the worst games ever, and story is the worst aspect of it.
yes, the are going to rewrite it to be about a neo nazi mass murder
Not trying to be reductive but doesn't.. nothing happen in the game? Isn't the plot basically just
>some weird shit seems to be going on
>go for a walk to find out whats going on
>find out nothing is really going on
Probably the easiest game to adapt, the dude who voiced the character in it is even a actor
I wonder if it hadn't been for all those creepy pasta videos about park rangers and such encountering spooky stuff during work if the game had been even just half as successful. I at least remember it being marketed with a hint of supernatural originally
i'm now going to watch your movie
Why, why make a movie after a game.
Yeah, kinda like that, but with retarded moral at top of that.
>“Jess and Keith are hard-working and visionary film producers with impeccable taste in video games” added Vanaman
God, this faggot is insufferable.
why would they make a movie of a movie?
we already had a movie about walking called Lord of the Rings.
sam raimi is planed to direct and he has sighted birth of a nation as his inspiration
Firewatch is not a game
Valve must be regretting that impulse purchase by now due to a silly impromptu conversation about mortality with some other faggot hipster devs waxing poetic about "games as an art medium" lol
I you enjoy Walking sims, it is an incredible single playthrough.
Knowing the twist, undercuts the whole experience afterwards.
I hated how the ending of Firewatch was basically nothing
Fuck off, this turd doesn't even let you walk properly. And story is an insult to intelligence.
Why? the walking simulator pretty much works as a movie already.
>Making a movie where nothing happens out of a walking simulator where nothing happens
Play Dear Esther and Firewatch will seem like a masterpiece compared to it.
I don't believe you a bit. It is just isn't possible to do worse.
The trailers specifically presented it as a mystery with the player being stalked by someone, yes.

Your character was a schizo and was alone the whole time.
He dreamt the characters up, even his wife.
At least Dear Esther is only 30 minutes long and was originally free.
It's complete fucking garbage. Don't make the same mistake I did. It's a massive waste of time from start to finish. It's a walking sim where the only thing it has going for it is the story, and the story ends up being trash. The plot doesn't even make sense if you think about it for more than a second.
Yes, I would say that knowing nothing happens would undercut the experience. You would certainly be deprived of the annoyance of wasting two hours holding W to find out the devs wanted to say "dude real life isn't exciting lmao".
I actually don't have anything against walking sims if the story is good, but the story was a joke. I truly don't understand how anyone can find this anything other than a shitty waste of time.
I mean, you can easily finish it in 2 hours and get a refund.
The setting is cool, it looks alright. But yeah they could've done so much more with what they had. A horror game with actual choices, a branching story. Maybe include more than 1 other person in a watchtower. It could have been awesome. But once you know the twist it's basically pointless to play again unless you want to see the other ending that you didn't get.
Cringe
It's too deep for you. You don't understand it because it's too deep for you to understand.
Please understand that this is an ironic post.
I tried to get a refund, but I was just over 2 hours and couldn't get one. I was livid.
I genuinely liked the story until the last 20 minutes or so. It had a great sense of building atmosphere and paranoia just to go for a fake-out ending where all the intrigue, and conspiracies, and fear of a killer in the woods were all bullshit. I just felt blue-balled over the whole thing.
