Can I play this shit without paying attention to the story? I have it on steam and want to kill some goblins or some shit

sure if you don't want to know where the roads lead you to or what wolves are weak to

Knock yourself out. Fuck around with the classes and pawns.

You're better off not listening to any dialog unless you want to hear 'aught' a million times an hour.

Game is dogshit. Zig Forums trolls yet another person by claiming this game is a "hidden gem" I fell for it, too.

what are some games you like?

I want to trust you, what game should I play then? I bought this so long ago I might as well dont care about it.

I wanna say I'm about a third of the way in and so far it's pretty banal (although the guides have already spoiled the twist). Just know that reaching certain milestones, like arriving at the big city, will automatically fail certain side quests you haven't done. The "kill x monster" side quests appear to be safe to ignore.

How do I know you're not a Zig Forums troll?

>get cunny pawn from the internet
>strip her to her underwear
>grab her from behind and put her in a sleeper hold
>coom and uninstall the game
Best $10 game I ever purchased

There is no story actually

OP here, should I play GOD EATER instead?

Don't trust him. It is not a perfect game but I found it fun and engaging. Story doesn't matter so if you don't wanna miss something just look up a missables guide. If you just wanna kill goblins and shit I believe this game will satisfy you.

I haven't played 3. I enjoyed 2 for what it was, but the endgame quickly crossed the threshold into ridiculous territory. It's also more cutscene-heavy than Monster Hunter (used to be).

If you're looking for Rpgs, then here's my rundown. The first Dragon Age is great, a little dated but still good. 2nd one is abysmal, Inquisition has either boring characters or characters way over the top.
All the Mass Effects are good
Divinity Original Sin 1 and 2 I played multiple times, probably dropped 100s of hours in it.
Fable 1 and 2 were pretty tight at the time, not sure if they held up all that well, 3 is atrocious.
I'm sure there's some I forgot, if you're looking for more JRPGs then I'm not much use to you, the only ones I care about are the Final Fantasy titles, play FFX is pretty great.

Better than Souls games

You can, I will say the story is generic fantasy trash through most of the game, I would pay attention as you get closer to the end

You can ignore the story. It's p bad desu. And I love this game. But the story is just bad.

>All the Mass Effects are good
I was about to discard your opinion until...
>Dropped 100s of hours into Divinity
Based

As a shot in the dark, I want to recommend two JRPGS to you - Grandia 2, and Skies of Arcadia.

Grandia 2 has one of the best and most fun battle systems, the story is pretty fun and dramatic with a demon god, fallen clergy, succubus ally, good-hearted heroes, and badass villains.

Skies of Arcadia is a brilliant light-hearted adventure of the highest caliber. It has its drama, and its about a war with an empire, but you're a young rogue sailing the skies saving a star princess with your girl-next-door best friend, helping out the captain ahab of the skies, traversing the seven winds with floating lands and dark impassable storms.

These games are very important to me. Hope you get a chance, user.

Yes you can ignore the story and just have fun. I know I never gave a shit about the story until maybe the last fight The Dragon. I was to busy enjoying the gameplay and that all that really matters in the end of the day.

Yeah, most of the details don't really matter much anyway and the best moments are great regardless of whether you've been paying attention to all the dialogue or not, as long as you're not so retarded you completely miss even the broad picture

>All the Mass Effects are good
I'm a fucking retard, I forgot about Andromeda. fuck Andromeda.

>the best moments are great regardless of whether you've been paying attention to all the dialogue or not
Basically this. Moments like fighting that griffin on top of that tower is so awesome as a stand alone moment that you don't even think about why you're doing it.

The gameplay is great. It's basically what you're looking for in terms of a fantasy game where you kill goblins and don't pay attention to the story. Only thing I'd recommend is that if you don't like the gameplay to try switching to another class (or vocation as the game calls it). Some are way funner than others and play completely different. It was to the point where I switched between gamepad and kb+mouse depending on which class I was playing.

Yeah, the story is retarded anyways, the real meat of the game is to make you the Arisen then make your waifu pawn and go into sexy adventures.

Yes, the story doesn't really matter anyway. Basically, you're the replacement god for the video game world you become self aware about.

This game is boring as fuck

story is shit, so yeah

You will be very confused at parts.

Story is shit. Just run around killing goblins and shit. Quests just give you shit tier loot.

Oh... oh god... I think I'm gonna be sick...
The sheer pleb... it's making me vomit...

The story is literally nothing until Grigori anyways, just have fun until the dragon asks more of you.

No, it's forbidden. Fuck you, nigger.

What a shit taste.
