What does that have to do with being well-known? Console exclusivity actually makes characters more well-known most the time, since they get put up on a pedestal as a mascot for whichever company. Sony = Crash, Microsoft = Master Chief, and Nintendo = Mario.
Rayman is like the ubisoft mascot I guess, but Ubisoft for sure isnt as well-known as the big 3 console makers. And even then Ubisoft keeps trying to insist that Rabbids are their mascot even though no one fucking likes rabbids, like not even in a funny sort of way like they want "oh everyone hates the rabbids! That's cause they're supposed to be hated cause they're annoying!" Nah, they're just annoying and stupid looking.
Plus Rayman isnt even that popular anymore, ubisoft is mostly just cranking out Tom Clancy and Assassin Creed stuff now
