Well I've never played Hatred, so I'll reserve my judgment. However, Manhunt 2's violence really isn't anything special nowadays, the sound design is what REALLY stands out in the game for me though. The sound effects really make the ps2 violence seem far more graphic than it is.

It's a fantastic game. Stop adopting preformed opinions. There's no game ever with as much brutal graphic violence towards humans. Only thing that comes close is Killing Floor 2.
