How the FUCK are you suppose to beat this on legendary?? They send 20 waves down from the ship and all I have is a plasma pistol to kill them. Did they really expect people to beat this??
Truth and Reconciliation
Shade Turret from ranged. Should take that whole fight from ranged if you can. Sniper rifle is an important tool for this mission. Don't die with it and use it when needed, it has a gazillion rounds.
>an actual response instead of just "git gud"
Not OP, but just wanted to say you're based.
Keep the sniper at all times
Use your sniper rifle immediately on the elites that land, then clean the rest up with gernades.
Needler is deceptively useful
Ive noticed some playthroughs weapons disappear so I cant pick up fresh pistols to kill grunts with from a distance but other times weapons stay on the ground and I can play safe spamming ammo
idk if this is some 343 made glitch making it harder or what
Spam grenades
I thought this was "baby's first FPS", what happened Zig Forums?
Halo has an entity limit, they despawn because of dropped grenades usually, so just throw more nades.
>save sniper ammo
>as soon as they start doing down, throw a grenade, it kills most of the grunts and jackals
>shoot elites with sniper
>if you need more grenades, there are some dead marines nearby with grenades
>rinse and repeat
>when the hunters drop down, kill one at a time with sniper rifle at close range after they lunge at you
Peace of cake.
The real hard part is when you board the ship and you’re inside the hangar.
just run up to the hunters with a pistol kite them and 1 shot them in the back
I can never remember if there are pistols on this mission since you start with the assault rifle and sniper. But yeah, better to use the pistol for the hunters.
I just played through this mission a few days ago and I'm pretty sure there are no magnum spawns anywhere.
I did this on legendary the other day actually.
>all I have is a plasma pistol to kill them
What? I can see you using up all of your pistol ammo and swapping for some covie guns, but you should still have a ton of sniper ammo by this point assuming you only used it to take out elites. Use it to keep blasting elites and the hunters that come down, shade + grenades for the rest.
How will I beat the ship beginning part if I use all my rounds before it?
plasma grenades
You have to git gud. Save those sniper rounds. You need at least 10-12 BEFORE you get the extra mag off the dead marine at the grav lift.
Try to keep marines alive to draw fire away from you. Use plasma pistol and needler to take out the shades before the marines go in, if you have any left.
Circle strafe the grav lift and grenade it as troops drop down below. Try to keep those marines alive at any cost, to make the two central fights easier.
You don’t need the sniper on the ship. Assault Rifle and Plasma Pistol are enough. Charged PP into AR spray melts elites.
Keeping the marines alive just makes it easier in general, but if you can keep them alive until the shuttle bay, you can call the pelican to drop reinforcements leading up to the bridge.
The sniper is useful for stealth sword elites on legendary. Pick them off from a distance without aggroing them all.
People stopped being gud at video games.
t & r is literally the only halo ce mission that doesnt have the magnum, the person youre responding to is retarded
I suck at video games, but I have managed to beat all halos except for 5 on legendary solo. most frustrating thing ever and I'm glad I don't ever have to do it again. Wasn't even fun.
ok that was a little harsh, lets say a well-meaning retard
I did it when I was 13 so it can't be that difficult. The game is even easier with mouse aim.
I beat them all on legendary except 1 because I found it tedious, although I also found 5 tedious but for different reasons.
There are actually plenty of sniper pickups on the ship
I struggled so hard against the guardians in my first playthrough I'm not even going to attempt legendary in halo 5
Is this from halo 2? I'm playing heroic as the arbitor around mission 9ish. It's my first time.
Side note: is it just me or is halo 2 remake really fucking dark? I keep having to switch between old and new to navigate because sometimes even though the lights are fucking bright the rest of the area is dark. Witb chief it's ok because I have flashlight but with arbitor it's a pain. Km getting my butt fucked by flood.
play on the original graphics for the original sounds. also no, truth and reconciliation is from CE
Legendary isn't particularly difficult but it IS designed entirely for people that know what they're doing and what's coming. The waves don't spawn on a timer, they spawn when a majority of the previous wave has been killed. Pre-emptively grenading the platform as the grunts/jackals drop down kills almost all of them, and elites can be easily 1v1'd with a plasma pistol, which there will be thousands of- just don't let any grunts run off to a shade turret or you're boned. Shade turrets also have infinite ammo and range, so using them to thin numbers and pop shields is viable. When the hunters come down just bait a melee strike and snipe them in the back once.
The next section in the hangar is all about getting into one of the corridor sections the enemies spawn in by using the camo, and playing very patiently with the sniper rifle. Good luck, it's probably the hardest level along with Two Betrayals but you've got it in you.
Legendary is meme difficulty
