I got into VN's with InnocentGrey's stuff, Cartagra: Affliction of the Soul and Kara no Shojo, I followed that up with Muv-Luv, Saya no Uta, Swan Song and Euphoria which were all amazing but since then I've failed to find anything that scratches the same itch. Saya no Uta especially made me really get into mixing twisted romance with horror which is unfortunate because it seems like a poorly catered to niche, in the West especially, romance work catering to men is almost non-existent here
