Sonic has a lot of spin offs tho. It has 2 fighting games, an rpg, racing games, skateboar racing games, a board game, 2 pinball games, etc.
Some of them are great, others are just meh.
But yeah, I miss when Sonic had multiple things besides action platformers. The sad part is that it has A LOT of potential for, for example, a new fighting game

You called me, im the one who is working a Sonic RPG on RPGmaker Vx ace, one problemo is that i can't find Sonic character's sprite, i DID find it but its all 2000 or MV, can someone on Zig Forums find it for VX?

Both are not only better, they came out beforehand, and Sega was able to use them as a groundwork for their games. Mario Kart 64 still has the best battle mode for split screen, Mario 64 has some fantastic courses, as does MKDS
