Series X has DLSS-equivalent machine learning

Microsoft's hardware team isn't fucking around. They've basically forced Sony into complete silence as SeX trumps it by every hardware merit.

Still no sign of PS5 using RDNA2 features like VRS and mesh shader either. SeX dedicated audio chip also looks better now. People underestimate the power gap between the two. It's a PS2-Xbox scenario.

Hardware doesn't mean shit.
In fact, overinsistence on hardware will burn them in the end as devs who want to reach a full audience instead optimize for the lowest common denominator, making all the power pointless and unused.
Saw the same shit on ps3.
>m-muh architecture!
Absolutely, but even with more traditional hardware architecture devs are still going to opt to optimize and develop with the lowest common denominator on the forefront. Unless the xbone2 outsellf the ps5 like 5:1 I don't think that's gonna change. Hell, even recently, the xbone x is more powerful than the pro, but most devs don't choose to optimize for it, it and ps4 pro basically get the same 'upgrade' patches.

Now If they can get some decent games that aren’t HALO/GEARS/FORZA then we might have some competition.

I am seriously talking, they need to get their games on otherwise Sony will Dab on them again and they ll be irrelevant for another gen. Sony NEEDS competition, this will be good for the consumers.

>Five hundred and ninety nine US dollars
Now fuck off, shill.

The thing is that the SeX advantages scale really well. Even if devs use PS5 as lead platform, you'll see better performance and graphics on SeX. It's all a matter of changing some quick variables after benchmarks. This is why MS was smarter gunning for a powerful GPU/CPU rather than an overcooked SSD.

Also Xbone X games look way better than Pro. Just compare RDR2.

Look at those superb SeX graphics!!

Even if devs don’t make any changes between versions you’ll get better frame rates with the xbox. Just like how “bad” PC ports “just” match the console version and still run way better than the original version could have ever hoped to.

We'll see if that actually happens. Microsoft's insistence on "NO EXCLUSIVES THATS BAD FOR THE CONSUMER" means no dev is ever going to be able to truly optimize and make use of all that power, even if it "scales well".

Wouldn't expect much. Even Xbone X was barely utilized by MS Game Studios. Their hardware team is performing literal magic while the game studios constantly embarass themselves. Sony has the opposite problem. Highly competent studios held back by a smug incompetent hardware team with con man Cerny.

Yeah I don't get strategy given how Xbone is dead anyways and they got Series S now for low budget gamers. MS Studios should have started on next-gen games back in 2018. But it seems like their studios have just recently started doing that. Sony meanwhile pushed their devs to PS5 long ago.

Not even a Nintendork but Mario Kart outsells both franchises of that pic

Dick Lucking SipS?

Yeah but Nintendo can shit out Wii U ports in 2020 and still have them sell. They still make garbage.

Even if it costs $599 Microsoft is able to leverage Game Pass to subsidize it down to $499

All of that will also come to PC. I hope the investors finally get a grip and also bring that backwards compatibility to PC.

PS5 has RDNA 2 and according to Moore's Law video, it has RDNA 3 features

youtube.com/watch?v=GaXC-WByZCQ

Don't expect both consoles to be pretty different power wise, they will run the same games equally

Avowed/everwild/fable/stalker 2/pso2 new genesis

>People underestimate the power gap between the two. It's a PS2-Xbox scenario.
Uhhhh...

xbl gold you mean. I don't know anyone who actually owns games pass outside of the people exploiting the $1 pc shit.

It costs a lot more than Nvidia due to no tensor cores, it's not worth it

>according to Moore's Law video
That guy is an idiot and laughing stock of the net

What do you mean? ML is dedicated MS hardware attached to the SoC. It doesn't "cost" anything. The entire point is to save performance, not waste it.

>PS5
>RDNA 2

You’d have to be a 15 year old autist to make that pic. You’re still not a big boy yet. Even if you play big boy racing games.

It can't do DLSS like Nvidia does it for the same low performance cost

So is this the new spamming talking point? I mean you kept saying how the July event would be great and it was a wet fart.

Watch Mark Cerny PS5 specs video, it features a RDNA 2 GPU

>ports of good games are garbage

Get a load of this faggot. No one played the Wii U versions, so the games are new to a majority of switch owners. What’s so difficult to grasp.

so on top of being able to run real 4k, it has this

>Mark Cerny
the compulsive liar who created the "power of SSD" meme.

OHNO NO NO NO NO

Stop fucking listening to this idiot. PS5 does not have RDNA3 features, it doesn't even have VRS or mesh shaders. No, primitive shaders don't count.

According to Jason Schreier and Jeff Grubb, most devs think that PlayStation 5 is better than Series X

So the series x has silicon devoted to machine learning, but Nvidia has more silicon devoted to machine learning

BING BING

According to Jeff grub, devs are getting better performance out of the series x. You are posting out of date info from months ago.

>Sony: PS
>Good arquitecture
you can't have both.

Schreier has been running constant Sony damage control for years and Grubb never said what you claim.

Although Schreier stopped shilling as hard for Sony when Cuckmann bullied him for insulting TLOU2.

Series X got out later, devs are just now learning it's capabilities.
PS5 was their first contact with the next-gen.

Forza horizon 4, gears 5, and Microsoft flight simulator are technical marvels in terms of graphics. What the hell are you talking about.

It features no such thing. No VRS, no mesh shader. PS5 engineer confirming it's custom RDNA1. Mark Cerny is a con man and a liar. PS4 Prolapse was a massive dud.

the nvidia rtx graphics card support more bounces for raytracing and you can use more technologies aside from just using RTX, in the other side PS5 can barely survive with just one bounce ray which give shitty results and once you use the cores in RT you can't use them in other puposes, for xbox i got no idea because i haven't see their presentations.

And this is why Snoy's spending big bucks to moneyhat themselves console exclusivity on upcoming games, because they know they can't compete with Series X fairly

Not really sure PS2 to Xbox is a good comparison to make considering PS2 had every game under the sun except Halo and Fable and those were all Xbox had.

Power isn't everything. It's not even important. If it were consoles would be dead. The Wii would have been the end of Nintendo. The Switch would be tanking. Guess how each of those systems did well? Games. We're way too early to see who is getting the great games. But one thing for sure, Sony never fails outright there. Even the PS3 ended up having a lot of great games and it came in with huge handicaps. Microsoft has a tendency to abandon the entire system after a couple of flops. Sony doesn't, they double down. Nintendo never gives up, they just rush out the next console.

This. It's well known that PS5 devkits have been out for ages while SeX devkits came way later. This is because some people believe is due to Sony initially aiming for 2019 release.

I'm a pcfag but its obvious that performance won't matter this generation, at least initially. Sony is poised to dominate in sales because of not only halo's delay but also just how fucking awful and franchine system seller exclusive looked. You can't simultaneously show me that fucking low textured brute while also telling me you're going to outperform sonys meme ssd. Not to mention the xbone was raped by the ps4 and all exclusives are on pc.

Doesn't matter. In the end almost all the next generation console games will be better and perform better on pc.

tomshardware.com/news/microsoft-xbox-series-x-architecture-deep-dive

Ray tracing on the series x seems pretty decent.

Xbox has no games

>making all the power pointless and unused.
Bullshit
Ps5: pretty gfx 1440p upscaled 30fps
Xbox sex: same gfx 4k 120fps
Thats how you use it

>Power isn't everything.

It literally is now, most games are multiplatform and people will choose the version that runs better.

user, you bring up a lot of fair points here. However, I think the landscape between the PS3 era and now have changed quick dramatically. The PC market has grown, even Japanese companies are looking at Steam (Capcom, Sega, even Sony). So if the architecture suits something out of Windows, I think that actually deals a real blow to PS5.

>Doesn't matter. In the end almost all the next generation console games will be better and perform better on pc.
It's going to take some years before the average gaming PC outperforms SeX. This isn't an 8th gen repeat. But GPU prices will surely tank now that Nvidia is getting outperformed by consoles.

Japanese companies look at PC only in the west, they're region locked a huge portion of the time and literally unavailable in japan. Just like most xbone titles. MHW, for instance, was literally never released on xbone there. Doesn't exist.

They're both RDNA1.5, seething Nugrohoite. :)
