>No you don't understand, Kasumi is better off being responsible for her sister's death, Anne is better off with Shiho being a cripple paraplegic, and half my friends are better off with their parents being dead.
Why is escapism so demonized anyways? So what if it's not real as long as everyone is happy?
Alexander Clark
Maruki is a bitch take a tea spoon of cement and harden the fuck up you prissy cunt
Christian Davis
teaching people to run away from their problems is not always the right answer. only one I agree is a good one is bringing back futaba's mom. literally not her fault.
Tyler Nelson
No one cares about losers living in fantasy, but society would collapse is useful people started doing it too.
William Martin
because it doesnt solve the problem. you are basically covering up the problem and teaches you nothing in the end. and basically telling everyone to take the blue pill.
Jacob Cooper
Except it does solve the problem. He literally unraped Shiho, and unkilled a bunch of people.
Anthony Sullivan
muh nips bending to society expectations
Jeremiah Collins
so how does society progress if he is in control of everything? does he just everything materialize everything into existence? no one would work and society will eventually collapse.
Gavin Cooper
>basically telling everyone to take the blue pill.
You're saying you'd rather live in an underground apocalyptic world hiding from robots than the current world?
Reality is literally how your brain perceives everything. When you taste good food, that's not cause the food is in of itself good, it's how your brain perceives it. Everything you perceive and experience is just your own personal interpretation of reality, including the good things and the bad things. Altering reality is altering reality itself. If you change reality so that you have a new job that you want, that's the same as getting hired for that job irl. It's basically like saying we shouldn't treat sick people because they are "meant" to die and treating them is altering reality and escaping problems
Andrew Russell
>no one would work
Imagine unironically believing the purpose of your life is to just work.
> story about how teenagers turn bad people into good people using magic > tries to push "reee escapism is bad!!!"
Nicholas Bell
>Happiness >anything more than a temporary blip ngmi
Jayden Hughes
>could have just brought back rumi’s parents >could have brought kasumi back to life >could have brought akechi’s mom back to life >makoto’s mom wasn’t brought back because makoto doesn’t remember her, but what about sae? she’s not allowed to see her mom again? maruki is fucking braindead
Connor Turner
If he did nothing wrong then why didn’t he get his gf back, huh?
Jaxson Brooks
Gonna be honest with you chief, Maruki{s perfect world its the same as losing in Persona 4, just humanity living on its own delusions, blind to reality
Angel Ramirez
Joker was just assmad that he was left out of the new utopia because he still had his old memories. Everyone else was happy and fine with it until he started kicking the nest
Evan Perry
>Everyone else was happy and fine with it until he started kicking the nest If you actually played the game you’d see that all the PTs said they knew something was wrong immediately but the reality felt so nice that they betrayed Joker.
Austin Davis
the only problem in the matrix that made the redpilled people mad was that the aliens were gaining something out of the humans being in their blue pill reality.
Gabriel Adams
They had minor flashbacks when he kept provoking the issue. It's no different to you having an occasional nightmare. Basically visions of a different world that doesn't exist for all intents and purposes
Lucas Jackson
Dude. In every apology they say they all knew something wasn’t right even before Joker said anything to them. That means that Maruki’s reality is shit.
Landon Wilson
So what about all the starving people that Maruki would have fed? The kids he would have saved from slavery or sex trade? The wars we would have ended, the sickness he would have cured, all of the random people Joker never met whose lives were suffering far beyond what a bunch of Japanese teenagers could even conceive of?
>tfw a mass-murderer takes the moral high ground against someone who didn't even hurt anyone, massively improved people's lives and literally brought people back from the dead
>brings up makoto's mom when makoto's dad is the literal thing they only mention.
Benjamin Green
>Sumire hating herself because her self-image is completely mismatched with her actual abilities >Versus Sumire spending a week being sad, then getting over it and actually becoming the person she wants to be All the others aside, the Kasumi/Sumire situation is essentially textbook on why Maruki's full of shit.
Samuel Foster
Maruki's endgame was similar to Yaldabaoth, in the end humanity would collectively lose its free will if it didn't align with what Maruki thinks is best. He had no malicious intent, but what he was doing was still fucked up despite the fact it gave people what they wanted. Robbing humanity of its ability to adapt and grow in adverse situations is just as bad as leaving them as mindless drones with no worries.
Robert Perry
>tfw persona hates jesus
Juan Russell
>that fist fight with maruki at the end It should have been a cutscene and not gameplay but regardless, damn I love that trope, just makes me feel things
The presentation of everything in the new month was ridiculously good but the final boss took the cake. For a game that was already an aesthetic leap above its PS2 predecessors, Royal somehow managed to push it all further again. And I believe you called forth your power like this.
