I recommend Samsung Crystal UHD 8 SERIES TU8000 CLASS

A PC

Uh bro, he's asking about a good gaming TV.
Of course he's going to plug the TV into his PC.

I too, recommend Samsung Crystal UHD 8 SERIES TU8000 CLASS
It is in the top CLASS! haha
i made a joke

Sony PVM-2530 / KX-27HV1 . Helps that they were literally used in game advertisements back in the 90s.

If you're talking modern stuff, most TVs will do fine. I've got a soft spot for more recent Bravias since they deliver a nice image without breaking the bank like an LG OLED.

a CRT

aight, now give me a non-lame answer

>no wide color gamut
>no local dimming
>edgelit
it's trash

What's your budget.

Is there a reason to get anything other than an OLED TV (besides price)?

no

I actually have this TV in both 55" and 65".

Just go to Rtings, surely they have a list of best gaming TVs. If you care about 4k120 make sure it has 2.1 otherwise any TV made in the last few years should be fine.

OLEDs burn in while LED/LCD panels don't. Thus they're not the ideal display for a medium where HUD elements being in fixed positions on the screen for long periods of time is the default.

rtings has had call of duty running for 9064 hours straight with no burn in yet, I think you'll be fine

pretty happy with my LG B8 OLED

As somebody that owns an LG authorized repair center, they absolutely burn in.

this was more of a problem with earlier models
the newer models have some pixel cycling/refreshing programs that make it less common

buy portable monitor with lazy mount and play in bed

Sharp has always been my go to for great gaming TVs followed by Sony. Sanyo made some great CRT TVs if you're looking for pre seventh gen consoles.

the sharp name got sold off to a chink company last year, not the same nihon quality anymore

do you guys wall mount your tv or just put it on a stand

TVs always have shit refresh rates and bad input lag. They aren't meant for games.

My Samsung has been pretty great for gaming and I think it has an 120hz mode. Its an older version of this anons tv

LG B/C/E 9 is probably the definitive gaming TV if you have a RTX card.

A widescreen early 2000s CRT monitor

Shit, really?
Well that's fucked when my current tv shits the bed

Damn, Phil Collins looks like that now?!?!

A late model panasonic plasma.
