I made a backstory for my GTA Online character being an older criminal just trying to retire but during his last job he turns into the Joker because of some accident.

if its any consolation, when they rolled out that batmobile car, i started dressing up as the devil in a business suit and then i'd relentlessly grief people with it only occasionally swapping to one of the other Halloween cars for more thematic transportation. my red dead online character has a really dumb backstory and so do my friends' characters

I am never emotionally swayed by video game characters because they arent real.

Dunno if this is autistic but sometimes I feel bad for shooting people or hunting animals in vidya. Idk why. I don't feel bad for hunting IRL but I eat almost every part of what I kill (most offal I don't, but I do eat heart and sweet breads). It's weird because hunting games are one of my most commonly played.

I always listen to music when i play vidya now. Somebody came into my stream once and complained that I was playing music over the game (which didn't even have its own music, just sfx). When I told them I didn't care about footsteps they got mad and left.

Same here. Most recently I’ve created a story spanning my red dead online character’s entire life over my 200 hours in online. I don’t even like red dead online, it’s average at best. Also if a game has customization then I’m changing my outfit every hour or two

usually its a person who is ignorant of videogames, sometimes its something like a time traveler from the past whos seeing electricity for the first time, or someone from the 70s whose only ever played an atari. i guess its kinda interesting thinking about how you would explain how video games work and where they came from to various kinds of people

Whenever I played an Elder Scrolls game I would switch out of my armor into nice clothes whenever I entered town. It felt weird walking around talking to people while wearing Daedric Armor with a big Fuck Off Mace behind my back.

The first time I was going to beat The Boss in MGS3, I knocked her down while she had 1 hit left. But before shooting her and killing her, I stopped to dramatically say "So long...boss..." then she got up and the time limit ran out and I died.
