1at half of season 5 was kino. When they started doing the montage for ashi showing all the old reoccurring characters was too much wanking off for me when they could have just told the story.

Any episodes that featured an ally for the week in the old episodes are a snoozefest. I think they definitely could have leaned more on the loneliness Jack faced where the only person he really talked to was Aku and vice versa since Aku was afraid to just straight up kill him. The episode where Aku broke 4th wall and told Jack to have a final duel where they promised no trickery is my favorite episode

I meant everything up until the end of the fight with the Daughters. I forgot that was 3 episodes long because I forgot Scaramouche had the first episode to himself. so I would say first 3 episodes

We lost Scotsman and Jack bromance time for Genndy's waifu to be pushed. And they couldn't even give it a satisfying ending after all that pushing

I also liked the episodes showing how jack fucked up and lost the sword on the mountain too

The gameplay looks suprisingly good. Seems like it has most of the basic DMC fundamentals so if the fanservice aspects are up to snuff then I'll grab it

Jack clearly has the upperhand, aku knows he can't beat him, after years of trying its clear that they get along in a weird rivalry kind of way. Maybe jack could be the one to actually convince Aku to stop with his evil empire and show him how to live

I would have liked an arc where aku and jack had more screentime together. Aku carries the comedy solo and it was always great to see them talk to each other in previous episodes
