I tend to play as both guys and girls in videogame, it depends on aesthethic more than anything.

Generally more badass and rough-looking armor sets. The idea of a toughened warrior speaks out to men out there.
Voicesets are typically full of grunts and when they take a good hit, you can hear and feel it.
Animations are typically much more stoic and macho, their leanback and proud arms give across the fact they're a man.

Typically cuter armor sets, sometimes sexy ones that show a lot of skin. Not practical, but can be handwaved as some horny wizard giving female armor a 'protective' enchantment that protects their bare skin, thus giving them better mobility.
Voicesets consist of moaning. Your idea as to why.
Movements and poses typically are feminine, graceful, and athletic, giving way to their feminity.
