I found Dark Souls 2 to be bad because of two big reasons:
1. It seemed to rely too hard on the whole "you ARE going to die" shit
2. A vital mechanic from the first game was fucked with and unless you cracked the game's code you would think said vital mechanic was no longer working. SotFS had the ability to fix it but the devs got lazy and kept it.
