The final boss of Hitman 3 will be Tim Cook

I'm a consolefag so fuck yeah I am. HM2 was fucking great, I can't wait to get more. I just hope this time I can preserve all my scores and whatnot when all the levels get ported over to 3.

It's a timed exclusive, so it will eventually pop up on Steam. We're gonna be waiting for all the levels to be released piecemeal, so might as well get the full season whenever it's out for a lower price.

it's on playstation, so I care not for these PeaCants bickering.

Yeah, I pirated the first two and downloaded a 100% save to get around the "always online" requirement for weapon unlocks, and I'll do the same with this one.

Ah, a good thread for once
BATTLER IS GAAAAAAAAAAY

I am a bit salty. Had this been my first time with the Epic launcher I wouldn't have cared, but I did try it with Metro Exodus, gave it the benefit of the doubt, and let me tell you: never again. I mean who doesn't fucking love being locked out of your own games be it due to shitty internet or forced updates, right?
At least it'll be fully patched and have all DLCs by 2022. And besides, IOI isn't that big of a studio, so I don't blame them for taking the exclusivity deal, if that's what it takes for it to survive and then some

sure
I'll just have to wait longer for it on pc
I can wait

Really wish dumb pc fags would stop bombarding every thread about this game. Yeah, every game has issues on your platform, we get it.

I was gonna try the refund trick to get H2 for free from the H3 servers. Maybe that's why they made it an epic exclusive.

>I am a bit salty.
I agree. This is the first game to get sucked in by Epic that I actually care about. I have never even downloaded the Epic software and I'm not doing it now, even for my favorite franchise. Fuck epic. Fuck exclusives. Get that shit off the PC.

>VR mode is exclusive to Playstation
>PC version is exclusive to EGS
I can't wait to see more bullshit like Stadia exclusive missions.

I wish people could continue having a civil discussion about it so we could continue having comfy threads rather than throwing a hissy fit over Tim.

I’m definitely excited for it (the new mansion level looks interesting, although I’m hoping there’s more to it than being a Cluedo mystery) but I’m also a little sad because there’s a chance this might be the last Hitman game and that the exclusivity deal may lead to lower sales.

Glad I preordered Exodus while it was still on steam.

What the real funny part is, is Epic VR games hook into SteamVR to run. Epic is using Steam's software on their own exclusives. Gabe needs to shut that shit down.

Elusive Targets/Timed Exclusives will only be on Epic for the first year. Meaning if you wait for Steam, you will miss all the suits and challenge unlocks.

This is absolute bullshit. That goes well beyond a simple exclusive. They're literally locking out content of the game and holding it hostage.

I used to champion and defend the Hitman games on here. I'll probably never say a good word about them again. My opinion of IOI just dropped by about 60%.

They're game developers. There's no way they don't know how the PC community feels about Epic and the practice of exclusives. IOI just deliberately took a dump on the PC gaming community. There is no "Oh, we didn't know" defense. This was a middle finger to PC gamers.

No matter where, no matter when. Battler being gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy is an universal constant.

>I can't wait to see more bullshit like Stadia exclusive missions.
SPEAK OF THE DEVIL.

Do you mean OpenVR?

Ill play it in a years time discounted with a bunch of DLC

So Hitman was delayed until 2022, basically. That sucks.

The only plus side is Epic this year hasn't been as aggressive as last year with exclusives like last year. This year they only took like 3 games worth a shit, but even they ended up being worse on the platform or just mediocre. Hopefully, next year it's even less since it's clear they aren't getting any retention whatsoever despite the free games and ball and chain exclusives.

The target audience for Hitman games isn't that big, let's be honest here. And based on different sources and reports both H2016 and H2 haven't sell that well.
So when Tencent appeared and promised big pile of money for free, fools at IOI immediately agreed to take such bait.
Now let's wait and see how many sales will they get as an exclusive title.

This is fucking bullshit. Now I don't feel so bad buying H2 with all DLC for 7€ on grey market.

SNK is even more retarded seeing Samurai Showdown, a game that's even dead even on console, being locked to the store. This is on top of the fact they waited a year and even ported it to Stadia prior. Literally nobody can play their shit except offline. They complained about people not buying their games on Steam, well you aren't getting shit here either. Can't wait till they pull this shit with KOF15 and dig themselves further in the grave.

Make sure you BitTorrent clients are ready to go.

>Now let's wait and see how many sales will they get as an exclusive title.

As many as on steam, but with lower cut for storefront as it always goes with exclusives

>The target audience for Hitman games isn't that big, let's be honest here.
Horse shit. Hitman 2 moved over 20 million copies on PC alone which is pretty damn good for a single player game.

Seems like a catch 22 situation for IO honestly. They know that only the hardcore fans are going to buy 3 no matter what they do, so an EGS cash injection must seem tempting, but at the the same time, accepting that deal will likely alienate a large portion of that core fanbase.

Risk bankruptcy again or inconvenience and upset the fanbase. It’s a Lose-Lose situation.

They never release those figures. They just say "Sales were great!" and walk away whistling innocently.

The Hitman reddit is just thousands of pissed off gamers. This really doesn't bode well for IOI.

I want to point out that EGS still doesn't have a fucking shopping cart.

Sales are going to be impacted pretty badly, I predict. Especially since the general consensus seems to be that they’ll either pirate it, but it on console, or wait until it launches on Steam.

Kind of a shame, since there’s no doubt that the game will probably be just as good as the previous entries, but it’ll be underrated yet again due to them throwing all the goodwill they built up from Absolution in the trash.

>no matter what they do
Honestly, they have to make some interesting design choices and decent missions to make me buy H3 after such announcement.
Because I have no doubt H3 will be a hard copy of 2016 and H2 with all questionable mechanics, awful scoring system and overall repetitiveness. They will play it as safe as possible and release a mediocre game once again. But blame poor sales on ungrateful community instead of their own shortcomings.
