expectations vs reality
I don’t care about the graphics, I’m just sad I never got to explore that first scene.
okay. what was your favorite part of Assassin's Creed Odyssey
Truly a masterpiece.
Why is it only Nintendo that can actually deliver E3 trailer visuals in their games?
Every playstation and xbox title reveal at E3 always has some bullshit like "Captured in-engine" or some other insane PR spin that tries to masquerade as "in-game footage" but it's all just prerendered shit that was rendered with the engine and a bunch of extra features that can't happen on sony and microsoft's garbage hardware.
The depth that Nintendo went with Botw is insane. The hidden systems and monitors that mold the game as you play it through to the insane detail and functionality of even the audio engine is crazy.
Truly deserving of 10/10. Fun that it makes Zig Forums seethe so hard too
The final game turned out a bit too cartoony. I think this looks cooler
BotW was game of the decade 2010, the sequel will be game of the decade 2020.
this shot looks bigger than anything in the game like it looks like the hills go on forever
BotW looks nothing like the E3 reveal though
wasn't there some emulator mods or something that made this game look really good?
lmao
>tendies play wow for the first time, the game
The hills also make the image look more mysterious, like there could be secrets behind them. The world of BotW ended up looking really flat, almost like a bowl shape, when you viewed it from a distance so there isnt that much mystery.
Aaaaand they're here.
Was the image on the bottom taken on switch or PC?
The FOV on the final game isn't anything like this. Also I hope they get rid of that gray filter that washed out colors and just give us video options to have the game look however we want
no way switch crushes dark values to black so it's either some retard PC shot or a switch shot with black levels fucked up in some image editing software
The only thing that I wish we could get, is that Nintendo built a console with hardware like the ps5 or sexbox so that they could really flex their art and graphics hard. Botw already looks incredible and for a game that runs on the Switch, it's a testament to how a good artstyle makes a game look fantastic, but having power to spare and accomodating whatever crazy stuff they can think of and not needing to worry as much about framerate and resolution and stuff.
I love the switch, but seeing what BOTW could be by emulating in 1080p - 4k at 60fps shows just how amazing it is and how much better it could have been.
Ok, Dark Souls 2 thread.
I agree user, I would love to see Nintendo games running on high end hardware, but I don't want them to go third party. They always make impressive looking games even with limited hardware, without limitations I can only imagine what they could do.
cope harder. The only thing the endgame was really missing was the guardian destroying the bridge.
gonna enter the thread just to say that whoever exported this 2MB sub-1000px png is a fuckin idiot
Oh agreed, I love the Switch and am glad they went the direction they did and it'd be a sad day in vidya if they ever went 3rd party, but it'd be so cool to see them flex with huge power.
A great game with a lot to improve upon.
>Remove not being able to climb in rain or at least add a device (hookshot/pitons/grapplinghook) that lets you.
>Increase weapon durability and allow them to be repaired if desired (add blacksmiths and crafting materials)
>allow the player to craft their own arrows
>make horses handle better
>add more enemy variety
Any more I have missed someone might like to add?
nintendo can't develop HD games they even said so when transitioning to""HD"" games with wii u, they had issues
That's because they won't put anyone young in charge because of how Japan values age over talent.
it's because their existing dev teams have been making ps2 tier games in 2015
>2015
Top fucking kek I remember waiting for so long was torture.
game would have been infinitely better with:
>no weapon durability (stamina would be acceptable if I didn't have to grind both that and hearts at the same time)
>actual dungeons
>an ending that didn't suck ass
>emergent gameplay that rewarded all of this empty-world traversal
It's a 7/10 at best. And that's being generous
precisely because of
what are some side quests to do that are good. think im going to collect all the pictures and do the main quest and be done but dont want to miss anything too substantial
