Because he gets power power the more current light nugget he hits has, furthermore he restores to max so don't bring any light regen, spend as much light as you can, bring forceful gesture and paralysis cards to keep his lows roll. Reduce his hearts to 1 but not lower else he will kill the tree, stagger him with Puppet number 2 and kill him

I never understood why people use Rules of the Backstreets instead of To Overcome Crisis. If you are looking for card draw, TOC is better since the draw is on use rather than on hit

>Heart is meh, the ally has to be the one that gets the killing blow, and the effect is worse than Violence since it won't let you snowball off kills like +strength will
>Harvest is bland, and doesn't have much of an effect on normal enemies, but it's nice against big boss enemies
>Rake is situationally okay, not my personal style but it has uses
>Lumber is quite nice and can easily proc each turn for super cheap card costs
>A Warm Heart counts the amount of light at the very start of the scene (you get a little heart buff with the amount of power you get) so it works if you expend all your light, and +5 slash power is absurd.
If they do some changes I could see his floor being great for those who need light upkeep, but given that it takes a bit more brain than usual it might not be very popular.
I beat him first try with 1dice plebs, and I even botched up the first scene attacking his trees like a retard. Just beat his rolls, and honestly I would recommend removing all his hearts, because when I did he staggered himself but then I dropped his stagger resist and he got staggered again, so I had 2 turns to just whale on the sucker. Fun fight. Abno rematches when?
Just fill out their info to the max and try and collect their gear if you can. There's always a chance of them rerolling in the future, but you're probably going to need to restart down the line anyways so don't worry too much.

Also for Clerk lovers you can increase big bird counter by doing good job, Army for supressing abnos (you can breach something easy, if you do not have Red, there will be never problem with it), Monk is harmless unless you are really stupid

Torn off wisdom seems good to me if you play it in a singleton with a ton of card draw
