Russia's GDP is lower than Italy's. This is not a game of ideological subversion for the purpose of conquering us anymore. They did their damage with the Soviet Union and communist subversion; the Russian Federation poses no threat to the security of the US simply because we outgun and outman them. They have literally no advantage over us. At best the purpose of any current Russian subversion would be to get us to back off of our positions in the middle east and lessen/remove our trade sanctions on them, neither of which pose any threat to the American people.
You want to talk about a country currently subverting the US with the intention of conquering us, look at China. In 2020 alone we have caught 10 Chinese spies in positions of power using those positions to subvert, steal money and obtain information which they relay back to the CCP.
