Which of the 3 major controllers has the best dpad?

no idea but switch is the worst by far

None of them are ideal, but PS4’s is the best.

Switch Pro is too squishy and inaccurate, Xbones is too clicky and doesn’t depress enough and feels awkward to use.

we're still not admitting that dpads are horrible and should never be used?

Ironically the joycon dpad if we have to go with what's currently available.

DS4 wins tournaments so...

Switch > PS > Xbox
Pretty much every generation for dpad

Nintendo will always have the best D-pad. Its perfect and they have the patent for it.

the kino will never die

This thread isn’t for plebs, out you go.

That patent expired years ago and they're not even using it on the Switch.

Sony is godlike and is in the right place
Procon is flawed out of the box but fixable with some DIY skills
Xbox has irredeemably bad d-pad for three gens in a row

Switch Pro's is the worst, but Nintendo released a wireless SNES pad which is 1:1 feeling after I broke it in. It's my favorite d-pad, so I use it for everything I can.
Besides that, DS4 > xbone

Anything other than Xbox D-Pad as its so shit

did you get that thing to work on your PC? I couldn't manage it but it's been a awhile since I tried

>Xbones is too clicky and doesn’t depress enough and feels awkward to use.
How does it compare to DSi XL dpad? I felt the same way when I got memed into buying one for DS games. It's accurate, sure, but it's not comfortable over extended play sessions.

I actually prefer the one on sony's, only for that little space in the middle where you can jam you thumb and then tilt. At least that's how I played on psp. The rest of the controller is passable, as the buttons are too mushy.

Fuck off, zoom zoom.

Yeah, it works the same way as the Switch Pro controller. Sometimes I have to close Steam before plugging it in to make it work properly.

How did they do it, lads?

I'm not sure which is the best, but X360's the worst of all

Dpad cannot be topped for menu navigation, which is 99% of the gameplay in jrpg's and puzzle games.

It was the last Sony console designed by Japanese.

Honestly I dont like any of them. If Im gonna play a 2D platformer I just use another controller like one of my 8bitdos or saturn retrobit controller or wii u pro

depends. for rhythm games, joy-con. for fighting games, dual shock. for 2d platforms, any of them will do.

Steam Controller.

Yeah, for $60 and in limitted stock like 6 months ago. Not a reasonable option for 99% of gamers

God I hate that fucking thing

>controllers still don't have a dedicated shift button
Its been 25 of using the same fucking controller style. When will consolefags learn? Fucking never because they will never be tired of buying marked up low-mid tier hardware and $60 factoryware

how young does someone have to be to think this

It's a shame only a small number of people have experienced this. I wonder if they will use the same style of button on the DS5.

Overall I prefer the DS4's, but I wish it clicked like the Xbone's.

how much of a faggot do you have to be to type out "zoom zoom" you sound like those redditfags that say heckin doggo to impress girls. kys faggot.

This one, replaced my old Xbox 360 controller and I have no complaints so far.
