it's a great game

agree

worst GTA

True. shame that franklin disappears for an entirety of the game though

Shame they never added the QOL improvements and content from GTAO, still, GTAO is great.

I too am going through it. Trevor just got into contact with Lamar. Hope we get some interaction between them because they are both 2 kinds of crazy.

Also going through the online, my head canon is that I’m a part of the story and world, but never get into direct contact with the other main 3.

GTAO is a different timeline, started as a side story but it quickly changed into a quite different thing.

Your headcanon is semi correct, the early missions in GTA online take place before the single player story. Lester actually mentions the online protagonist to Michael and Trevor in one mission IIRC.

>direct contact
spoiler alert you actually do meet with one of the protagonists in gta online. Not gonna tell you anything else tho

I honestly don't know why the plot/characters of V get shit on here - other aspects of the game aren't great, but it's the only GTA where the writing wasn't completely half-asssed.

Envy. Many anons here lack friends to have any sort of dynamic

GTA IV had better pacing tbqh
GTA V is just "do the heists then become an informant or whatever" with a few "fun" missions thrown in inbetween and then the game ends
it also had less missions
GTA IV (not including expansions) had 94 missions
GTA V has like 80 and a lot of those are just collecting various items for heist prep

>Counting "drive me to a place and then drive me somewhere else" as missions
lol
IV autists are desperate

Yeah, the story mode is great. It's pretty much what GTA IV should have been. Idk why people hated the single-player mode but praised the barely functional online mode where the matchmaking didn't work half of the time, most of the weapons/items were locked behind microtransactions and features were removed because "muh hackers".

hard to make as strong a narrative when like 30% of the missions are heist related and the ones that aren't are split among 3 characters

No, really, IV's story is anything but good, there's several discrepancies between Niko's personality, the plot and the gameplay, up until the end he bitches nonstop about being poor and hating violence, meanwhile he gladly participates in heists, assasinations and buying weapons, getting super expensive cars and a penthouse. The game feels like it was made by different people that never comunicated with each other, the worst offender is the ending, you spend the entire game playing a game trying to be grounded to reality and then they force you to chase a helicopter on a dirtbike doing stunts and all sorts of wacky shit.

>up until the end he bitches nonstop about being poor and hating violence
not really

Yes, really.

Niko doesn't complain that much about being poor or hating violence (one of his lines is literally "I love this city" when he's in a firefight), it's mostly when he talks about the war and the old country that he complains
seems like you didn't play GTA IV recently or you'd maybe remember this better

that doesn't prove anything, last time I played it was when they gave away the dlc for free.

also even if he did complain about being poor (which he doesn't do that much) how would that contradict him wanting to earn money by doing heists etc?

Because he's not poor anymore, funny you made that correlation because I was talking about him supposedly disliking violence.

>bitches nonstop about being poor

>niggaaaaa
>banter
this is actual banter and well written dialogues, get the fuck out of here zoomer

>and hating violence, meanwhile he gladly participates in heists, assasinations and buying weapons
Really user, really?

find an example how niko complaining about "hating violence"
should be easy if he does it so often

Yes, I will comb through hours of gameplay for a few lines of dialogue, just for you to reply something retarded like "it doesn't count".

My statement still applies, and I will add that IV autists are desperate and retarded

>bitches nonstop
>nonstop
shouldn't take too long to find an example if he does it "nonstop"

Read my post, even if I find several examples you will come up with something retarded.

>make statement
>refuse to back it up
niko's main motive in the story is literally violent revenge
roman does complain a lot about being beaten up after niko arrived though

>use a hyperbole
>retard latches onto it and refuses to acknowledge the rest of the post

was I supposed to feel bad for picking A?
