When I was a retarded 14 year old I grew up on Internet forums with 'console wars'. For the most part I saw it as fun and thought that 'no one is taking this shit serious'y', expect for the PC fanboys would would but in, were typically older than everyone else in these threads, and were generally assholes who made personal attacks for anyone who liked console gaming a all. I was a console only gamer due to lack of money and options and they actually made me so bitter I almost wanted to hate PC gaming out of spite.
Something they all had in common was that they all rallied around Star Citizen. They hold SC as the game that will return PC gaming to glory. For shits and giggles I checked the forums sometime last year and these people 7-10+ years later are STILL there and are still arguing with fucking children who like console gaming, and they're still hyping SC. It's very pathetic and sad but it gives me a convenient way to mentally separated PC gaming as a whole from these lunatics.

It's the GameSpot 'System Wars' forum. Something really neat about it was that memes and trolling likes 'ur mom lawz' were banned so you had to actually effort post. If you wanted to insult someone you had to do it indirectly. Certain people got away with it more than others because of mod bias. The website had a lot of neat features too such as gaining experience and leveling up as you posted on the website or did things like start groups or write blogs and you could earn badges from special events like watching e3 through GameSpot. They had new unique graphics every year. All that seems to have been removed and the layout is ugly and trash now. It also seems like it's a lot less populated now.

Yes? Frankly, every oldfag remembers certain things like the names of the big dogs from Origin Systems. Not all of them are autistic enough to buy into SC, but a lot of them are/were.
